Inspired by areostars thread, I've decided to see what people think of these two horror themed games, I own bsd and love it. I was offered a Frankenstein and want to know if it will hold up against "the drain monster". Anyone with both titles?

A similar question was posed on RGP recently. The short answer is "no".

I want to tip BSD over and set it on fire every time I play it.

'nuff said.

BSD is not a game for random flipping. Make you shots or kiss the ball goodbye.

Sometimes you have to admit there is someone more skilled at ball handling.

I'm not looking to sell my bsd. I'm just wondering if it'll collect dust next to it. Besides, you wouldn't like what I've done to my bsd.

By "it collecting dust" I of coarse mean Frankenstein. Sorry foot the poor grammer. (I may be drinking)

There are real fuzzy iPhone pics in the projects thread as well as a fuzzy vid in the vid section. I'm trying to borrow an HD camera to film it. It needs to be played to be appreciated though. It's basically all noflix LEDs but with purple gi and glow in the dark star posts. It gives a nice "rock and bowl/ putting edge " feel to it.
Vengence would deem it "unplayable" but I don't think he's seen noflix.

I've owned both and at the same time, MSF is an ok game, but for me MSF left and BSD is a keeper.

MSF is a tough game, getting to the wizard mode is no easy feat, I really like the animations on the DMD and there is something to be said for the larger DMD.  It really does add something, the sounds are amazing and a very goof fit for the theme.  Problem with the game is from a scoring perspective it comes down to one thing.  Shoot the right ramp, right ramp lights lock, and multiball is the most lucrative thing in the game.  The multiball is quite unique in that it can be tough to start and isn't an automatic thing.  The modes are all well done with a nice variety of shots, but end of the day the game just didn't hold my interest.

?BSD I love, it's fast it's hard, and mist multiball is a great unique feature.  The sounds are great and it's just an a** kicker, and the tripple stacking is such a nice feeling.  Shallow as hell, but what it does it does right.  One of my favorite vidoe modes in pinball.

Like I said MSF isn't a bad game I just prefer BSD over it.  Long term I don't think MSF makes a keeper game as it can get repetitive shooting the right ramp over and over again for multiball.

Hopefully this helps

Thanks Adam. No question that bsd is great, nice to read some in-depth thoughts on Frankenstein. I'll try before I buy!
