What is the function of the clock for a twlight zone, Does it affect gameplay?

There are many modes that are affected by the clock.

It basically acts as a timer for some modes.
In one mode (clock millions) it moves back and forth (faster and faster)
everytime you hit the clock target (top center, between the ramps ).

And lastly, when the game is not actively being played, the clock actually shows the correct time of day... !

It's a pretty important part of gameplay...

eg......"Mint R@are Shopped Twilight Zone in China NR best on Ebay, will never see another one, ever, ever, ever"
