Hello All,
Does any one know the best price or place regarding bulbs, balls etc in the Toronto area? I know of Playdium, any where else that comes to mind? |

Thats very cheap stuff. No other place worth running to really. Their parts dept is only 9-5 M-F. Closed Sat which sucks. |

They are open on Saturday's for a few hours if that Saturday is the date of one of their auctions. |

They will ship the items to you, shipping prices are pretty reasonable as well.

Made my first trip to the parts desk at Satrburst yesterday. I piked up a ton of stuff for my pinbot project including plastic trim for the backglass!
Their prices are virtually the same as the american prices. good stuff!! |

Apart from some bulk items, they buy the parts at the same price we do and then tack on exchange and brockerage (and then taxes of course). At least that's been my exerience in the past. |

I definitely disagree, their prices tend to be much higher than what you can buy online. It is a matter of whether you can wait and also whether you are buying enough to justify the shipping.
For example, one item, albeit a small one: nylon acorns are .40 at Starburst vs .15 from the Pinballlife.
Flipper rebuild kits are about double.
It pays to order online from the US if you are buying over $100.00 in my experience. I do still make regular trips to Starburst however. |

I have to agree with wbradly on this one. When it comes to the generic parts I always find it cheaper to purchase from the US, because I'm always ordering in bulk. Pinballlife FTW!
But I will say that SB is ok when you're in a pinch and need a generic part quickly.

Also, they're open 'till 5:30 on weekdays, not 5pm. If I leave my work right at 5, I can usually get there with a few mins to spare. Prices are high, but they're getting better.. and they stock a lot more than they used to since they're trying to enter the collector market now (ie. coloured flipper rubbers, Mr. Pin priceguides, etc.) They've been great in a pinch. |
