Anyone interested in this car should D/L season 11 of Top Gear. They have 2 episodes that feature the GT-R in detail, one of which is 1 full hour dedicated to it.
The Skyline GT-R has been my dream vehicle since I can remember.. The '98-'03 are my favorite years for it, but last year January I almost bought an '89 GT-R at auction.
one of the things that facinates me is it is classified as a ULEV(Ultra low Emission Vehicle)
I can't help but wonder if they applied this tech to a normal vehicle in the 150 hp range the economy wold be freaking crazy. And why aren't they? Too much $$ for average drivers?

That would be my guess. Each engine is hand built in some crazy a** clean room environment, which just isn't cost effective for the joe-blow econobox. (not saying this is the reason for the ULEV rating though)
