Pools: Yep, everyone that's seen it says that . IF it wasn't for the friggin wind, we wouldn't have the barfotron cam. Looking forward to trying it again with something a bit steadier, like a roller coaster!
I don't think so. I did pick up a replacement wing and if I can get this OT out of the way this week, I'll be giving it a whirl. Plane has a dented nose (where the camera was) but the motor seems sound and most importantly, the all important tail section seems undamaged and is responding to the remote command. The only real worry I have is the prop fell off, so I'm worried it may now have loosed it and may fall off under the stress of spinning. One of the local hobby ship dudes said "use crazy glue, it probably won't come off anyway but this should help to ensure it's more snug".
Incredibly, it looks like the plane is sound guys! If there's no wind on Friday, it's going up again! I got a new wing, I'll be charging the camera and I'll be ready for round 2!

Camera was $13 shipping included, but you need a memory card. Yeah, my friend was saying "come on, use a kite". Would you believe I've never been able to get a kite off the ground? (childhood thing, so disappointing). THe kite is a great idea but there are advantages to the RC place, such as different views?
Note that the camera I bought is camera #3, there seems to be quite a lot of variations in quality and #3 seems to have a better rep than the others. You still need to buy a Micro SD card (or use an existing one lying around) bur they are not too expensive. I picked up an 8 gig Micro SD for $25, which I find reasonable. I've heard from some that the cameras with the memory built in are baadddddd, so take heed of this.
I've been thinking of other interesting uses for this camera (legal dudes, legal...). I can't remember if I mentioned it but I have a second on order, so that I can have two different views on the RC plane. One at the nose, pointing down (about 135 degrees?) and I want one pointing straight back; will be cool for takeoffs, etc.
