   Old Orchard Beach!!!!
That takes me back; our family used to camp there in the 70's about twice a year at Bailey's Campground(we knew the owner), they had as I recall: a Gottlieb Bon Voyage, Airport, Stingray, and about three others.  I believe this is where I first got hooked on the game.  Great beach but damn cold water.
Family permitting, if your going down the I-93, consider a pit stop at the worlds largest arcade-Fun Spot (weirs beach)Laconia, NH

To quote Walter Day,

Funspot is "an absolute magical place".  I was there last summer on my way back home from Disney, I made special detour just for that.

I will be on vacation Friday this week, first stop is 2 days at Laconia ONLY FOR FUNSPTO.  Then we are heading to "good old" Old Orchard, the arcade paradise of my teenager period, last time I've been there was in 1989.

It really isn't such a bad place this Montreal, or anything to be weary of really. Don't worry about the French, just watch out for the crazy tempered people behind the steering wheels of cars and such.

Just Lie RAB says, don't worry about the French. Heck, just say "bonjour" and "merci" and that will go a long way

But I have to agree with the driving part. I grew up in Montreal but the driving is brutal right now especially because of the construction. And watch out for the short panel trucks, these guys are nuts! Another difference from Ontario, some exits are on the left of the highway, not only the right. Still this place is great to explore!

Like yourself Ricker, I have lived in both these cities, and indeed, the roads and indications are so much better in T.O., the drivers are less erratic and much less prone to sudden last minute reactions that look like a craziod is at the wheel  (i.e."Oh mess, there's my exit !).

When I first moved to Toronto (North York) in 1998 to help head up a branch office for Laniel Auotomatic Machines in Mississauga, I just couldn't get over how much information you would get before your exit or the street\intersection you were looking for, this took alot of stress off my driving and I eventually calmed down.

Here in Montreal, you have to wing it, especially if you don't know the streets. And even for those who have lived here all their lives, they are still prone to nutty behavior because the streets are rarely flat or straight or organized logically. Montreal is an island with a mountain damn smack in the middle of the city for Christs' sake, so urban planning can become an oxymoron here. Mississauga, on the other hand is flat and spread out pretty evenly, nice place to drive for hours if you are seriously bored. And even with the introduction of the affordable GPS device for you car, this hasn't helped to curb the uncertainty of finding your way in Montreal for some reason. I guess you can't take the Latin blood out of the majority of Montrealers'. Yes that strong "elan vitale" we display makes for dangerous driving, but on the flipside it provides for a real wild time when you get out of your car unharmed. There is a reason why this island is the only place in North America where you can't turn right on a red light, too many people would die.

Thanks for stopping by the Starburst Montreal office on friday before "the games", it was good to meet you.

Rob

Maybe you didn't see it cause you spent too much time at the pier bar next door.   She is in the same row as all the others, or at least was.
