Ever since we bought our Plasma screen 2 years ago,
the 32" boat anchor has been sitting in our basement pretty much unused...

I tried to sell it last year for $80 and didn't even get a nibble.
( 1/10th the price I paid for it... )

I realize no-one wants these tanks anymore,
but it still works perfectly and I'm not going to simply throw it away.

So what is something like this worth ?

It's a 32" Sony Trinitron, circa 1994. Works great and has the original remote.

If I can't get $50 for it, I'll give it to charity or some kind of shelter...

Thoughts ?

Thanks,
Steph

We sold our 26" in the fall in the back-to-school timeframe when kids have a new place and want a cheap TV... ...I think we got multiple calls for the $100 asking price on kijiji....

Well you figure a 32" 4:3 CRT is equivalent to a 24" 16:9 LCD (Or plasma what have you), and you can get a 22"-26" LCD for $300-$400 brand new, and even less used, who wants to pay $80 for your outdated boat anchor?

32" is too big for your average "Bedroom TV" so there's another drawback. And you can buy a new 32" CRT TV for like $149-$179 at places like Walmart, and I see plenty of FREE TVs this size to be had, nobody wants them anymore.

I think $50 might find you a buyer, maybe.
