I was there 3 minutes and the first thing I did was hit the flea market... after 5 minutes, I spotted what I hoped I would find... a Dolly Parton pinball for the Lost Vegas kit I want to do... Cab is sound, but no boards or displays. Got it for 80 bucks. But DAMN does it stink...
I also picked up tons of cab parts for future rebuilds.
I just came back from Frosken's room where we played Atari 2600 with Gus, Marty and da boyz. Good times!
I Kind of feel bad though... they are 6 guys crammed in a hotel room sharing twin beds and a sofa bed... here I am in my big room with a kingsized bed, big LCD and beer in the fridge...
myself and Mrs Jokker are here, hanging at the Wingate. Ran into Marty, ME and Sparky so far...
Few quick pics from this evening, Brigitte got more on the good camera so might come at little later
The layout is quite different then the last time we were here (2 years ago as we did Rochester last year). The turn out is pretty impressive over all I'd say considering the Swine Flu pandemic Good thing they have kits for sale!
Bring me back a case.. PLEASE!! The dark(er) Yuenling.
Which one???
We tried a few 'new' ones at the brewery... black & tan and Porter...
Black and tan is really good... lmk if you want that one of the usual 'traditional lager'...

medvet did NOT buy a pinball this year! HOWS THAT!!
HEY!! You beat me to that! But .....you left me at the show unsupervised ! so I tried to rectify that situation - but no luck ......I would have had a Flash Gorden from the flea market if I had gone out 10 minutes earlier. Oh well, not upset with no game this year as I found an NOS Whitewater playfield and Taxi and Mousin Around!!!!

Traditional is fine. Whatever it is we usually buy from that brewery. I miss being there and having fun but I don't miss being 7 guys cramped in 1 hotel room.
You guys have fun and try not to win the pinball this year!

Thanks for hosting and providing the pics, Phil. A surprising number of NOS playfields. I'd expect the repros, but wow....some NOS I wouldn't expect including an EATPM. Cool.
When you stop at Shangy's pick up some Dogfish Head Indian brown ale, Cottonwoods Low Down Brown or Rogue Shakespeare Stout. Yuengling is referred to dirty water lager in my area. Just a heads up from a beer nut.
Um... complete and working, I believe no one did... but believe it or not, I was the first to buy a pin.
We'll call it a tie, I bought a Time Warp pretty fast great deal though.. hard to pass up. Bought it from the guy selling the "swine flu kits". Very nice dude
I wish I had bought some playfield glass.. that white cube van had them at $10 each by the end of the day yesterday.

Cool game congrats !
The banana flippers are mandatory thou, hope you got them ! I had to buy mines used from Ebay and could never find blue rubbers for them, i had to use the yellow ones.
Game is completely different with them installed and isnt easy ! There was normal flippers on it when i got it and it was way too easy...
Currently owning: - Solar Fire, Medusa, Flash Gordon, (Centaur), No Fear ------------------
Thanks, Az! Yep, the banana flippers were on there.. and I picked up some NOS yellow "condoms" for 'em Looking forward to getting it working. It's in fairly good shape, and the gang and I suspect (hope?) it's just the 40-pin connector that needs to be replaced. It's complete though! I'll post some pics eventually..
BTW, big thanks to Poolman for helping me bring it back, and to Corey for storing it in his garage for me for the time being.
oh, and hurray for no taxes or duty!! Easiest border cross ever!

I know you all slept well on Saturday night... I headed for your room to play poker at 12:15am and I heard snoring through the door... so I turned back.
- delivering the EK - chatting with a BUNCH of members that I had never met before like Cooke (a pleasure to shoot the mess on Sterns), Poolman (sorry I didn't have time to chat shop... damn...) and all you guiys from London, and Gwen from Windsor who drove in on Friday (sorry I didn't spend as much time as I would have liked to chat with you... ), and so many others... - chatting and hanging out with the regulars, like Da Crew (SpaceCadet, Tartagliag, Frosken, Maxime and the others)... I had a blast guys... you made my weekend. Count, Sylvain, Mrhide, Scribec (bring me that Big Game!!!), Medvet, Alex, Pinball Wizard and so many others (you all saw the pics)... all asking me to come back and to just nevermind the "special people"... (I will think about it...) - talking with Mike Purcell and Tanner at the CPR booth (GREAT guys... ) - getting to go to Scott Charles' place and playing classic Sterns like Lightning, Freefall, Catacomb, Stargazer, Big Game.... oh man... - chatting with Scott and Todd McCulloch for a couple of hours (as nice a guy as he is BIG!) - playing some nice old classics at the show - getting parts from Steve Young... VERY nice guy! - playing Atari 2600 late at night with Da Crew... - getting my a** handed to me by Frosken at Pong! - the farmer's market... OMG... I love that place
LOWS
Not many, if any at all... maybe just these points:
- sucked to drive alone... gonna have to grab someone to come with me next year - less pins than I expected this year, and LOTS of people, so play time is limited - flea market deals were not all that great... mind you I left Sunday morning, so prices probably dropped - not having enough cash this year to buy that Andromeda pin in the flea market - other than the Dragonfist and Hot Hand in the tournament area, not a classic SS Stern in sight to play at the Expo...
I also made a promise for next year... I will bring down 2-3 completely restored pins so people can enjoy them. MOST ASSUREDLY classic Sterns as I was a bit bummed out to not have many to play there. I saw some pins that the owners claimed were restored... if I brought in the EK I did, it would have put them to shame...

...And when tslam is around, you should always be aware of where his camera is.
And in other news, it was a great show. The rain held off for the most part on Friday evening and the sun actually came out by noon on Saturday.
It was nice to meet new people and hang out with old friends. As always, a big thanks to poolman for driving and hauling us around in his comfy truck. Good times.
1. Unloading EK 2. Best for sale item of the weekend 3. What my wife called Ian's "Serious Stance" 4. Best shot we had of one of the rows. 5. Ian's back 6. Me complaining because I was getting shafted at pong 7. Big mamma playing the rolling stones, I was almost sure either myself or Ian would be taking this one home. Fun machine.
Great show (my first show). Too bad there wasn't enough time to meet more of you from here (Good to meet you Sparky).
- little disappointed that many of the EM's were setup to play really slow (still had a blast playing them, especially the Gotlieb Dimension) - really wanted to play the Cue Ball Wizard, but it was folded up Friday night (huh?) - got to play some 'way back' games I haven't seen since forever - Paragon, Phoenix, Night Rider - got to play some new-to-me games - AFM (wow), SWE1 (hi-score initials!), BSD (cool pin),... (pretty much anything newer than 1995)
Bought a bunch of parts and left with a TSPP that had 46 total plays (and looked it too). Didn't get stopped at the border (thanks cool border guy). Hope to stay for the entire show next year (lots of pins, too little time)

it's been copy from Timeshock! ( the BEST pinball on the pc period.)
I've never played Timeshock, but it'd have to be pretty damn good to beat Balls of Steel!
