well right now i am about to take apart my flight 2000 and take it to starburst to pass onto another member. erin is having some tattoo work done. but what else am i doing in the morning? going to bally boy's and getting pinball magic and lost world. going to starburst and dropping off my flight 2000 and grabbing another flight 2000. that one i am taking to kingston on sunday. i have nothing else doing in kingston that day. but while i am doing all the starburst stuff for myself i will be doing mcmeans stuff for him due to his young lady running the big race in ottawa saturday. good luck and enjoy. daniel will also be picking up my rocky and bullwinkle. i will also being doing bish stuff as well. i think i will be a busy man in the morning. then run back to work my a** off to pay for all these games.
flight 2000 is leaving. so that is only one machine going out and three coming in. erin is alittle pissed. i asked if i could get a storage unit for the summer to set up half the machines there. she wasn't happy. so i might have to sell off something. royal rumble is still up and i have a kijiji listing as well. i don't really want anything to go. so i am just trying to hold off a couple weeks without her noticing the other machines around. putting a couple up at friends. b-day, fathers day and aniversary is all in around the same time for me. so i might re-ask about the storage unit then. that and a generator in case the storage unit doesn't have power.
Kinda funny don't you think? Little over a month ago you were considering getting out, and now you are out alright........out of space!
Paying for a storage unit is kind of silly though. Would make more sense to knock a few $ off the machines you're trying to sell, than to fork out much more in storage costs for machines you obviously don't want to keep.
Why not bring whatever you can tomorrow and see if they sell there in the parking lot? I'm sure not everyone there will know about here (Or even Kijiji for that matter)
i don't want to really sell off any machine and have now have a couple going out. but i might sell off my crane machine to make room.
really like all i have at the moment.
but things list on kijiji are always lower for macca members. but again. i am trying to get away without selling anything at the moment. wipeout can go though. i am done with it. others like it. but nope. strange science is starting to get to me as well. one gorgar would be good to see go. so i guess there are a few i would see go soon enough.
Thanks, Gory. I really appreciate you taking stuff there for me.
Vengeance, Sparky, machine.slave...your crests are going with Gory. B1...your orange t-molding is going with Gory. There's also stuff going to Ricker & Grauwulf.
I hope I didn't miss anyone.

Enjoy PM and LW. Thanks also for the little gift bag - interesting stuff in there for sure
Great time at Starburst once again... especially the parking lot. This parking lot is getting better and better... for deals. No more auctions until the fall though.
That Crazy canuck definately has the right idea. We're going to have to do our own food and "beverages" next time. I'm in!
Tailgate party would rock!!! And if those plugs on the wall worked we could have a few games on the go. I'll post some parking lot pics when we get home...FG is safely in the back of the Burban and nobody blew a nut on the stairs from hell. Thanks to Poolman and Monkeybug and B1.
yep. loads of the gang to hang and chat with. let alone all the people who came just for the auction and ended up talking to us about our pins and if we can get this or that. one guy will be getting ahold of me and he is looking for the older star trek. soon as he emails me i will post it and if someone has one they can get ahold of him.
i did bring my own food and did even get to eat alittle of it. was wondering what power of generator we would need to test one machine at a time? with fathers day, birthday and aniversary comin up soon i might be able to get one. if i don't get the storage unit.
big thanks to bally boy for the machines and working with me even when i am in a pissy mood. loads of driving today and alittle sunday. but no where near what sparky is doing. full van both ways. he brought down a peppy machine. can't wait till the museum is open to go check everything out.
auction was ok. south park finally sold and they had a good looking strikes and spare (not working) that sold for $200 or 175. i will post some pics later.
great to see you all again and it was more then fun. beer in the morning though isn't my thing. shoot i keep myself straight for 24hrs so i would mess up taking things for others. but i still did.
I broke my Starburst auction cherry today. I recognized gorydeath's pins and introduced myself but otherwise shuffled around and skipped out after the initial bidding and the countertops. I didn't plan on buying and didn't register anyway.
I didn't see the World Cup Soccer pin fired up but anyone know what it sold for? $575 seemed like a great starting bid.

Gory it was great to meet you. Man you pack a lot of pins in your vehicle!
I had the chance to talk pins with you, Poolman and another Tom (I forgot your call sign) and I enjoyed the conversations. The knowledge and advice is extensive. Everyone that I have met so far in the MAACA group & at the Church of the Silver Ball have been solid pinball citizens of the community. Everyone wants to help and not gouge, that is very cool.
Poolman even asked me if "I wanted to touch it", the pf of course, and I have to say that your work speaks for itself! Simply astounding! Thanks for making that "stat" phone call about another pin's status - you folks are so connected
Gory I want to ask you about this pinball museum in Toronto. Is this a for sure? Will it be around the docks?
Ricker's current lineup;
El Dorado Flash. Royal Flush Joker Poker Volley Pioneer Barracora Black Knight Meteor Xenon
Yup... full van both ways, barely time to set up Adam's mame, my back is shot, and I actually had to airbrush the inside of the van to hide scratches... I should have bought that Dodge Ram...
Great to see everyone and talk pins, moved 6 pins this week and none were mine. 1 left and I am done this week. Just chipping in to help a couple friends.
AFM TOTAN INDIANA JONES FT ES NGG CHEXX BUBBLE HOCKEY CATACOMB STAR POOL also a collection of CRAP that is always getting bigger

very nice to meet you as welll. that was nothing in the truck today. only 3 pins. nothing from the auction. but really thought of a new kids ride. some nice ones today. wish i did a better job packing on the way down. only your item was left behind. i will send it out by tuesday at the latest. so sorry again. wife getting tattooed and helping out during a break while took apart pins and moved things aroung at the shop. still moved things again when i got back.
as for the museum. the man himself gjd, was there getting that wonderful peppy. let alone all the cool playfields he brought for others. i missed out on seeing some of the best ones. i know gjd has a crap load of things now. was cool to hear he ended up with the old 70's machines i bought from amusement 911 years ago. that i passed onto my old repair guy pindoc. they went to kevin eldo and soon the museum. that and to hear about some of his other machines. it was more then nice to just standing chatting with adam, sparky and gerry before leaving. also was to meet poolman and see some of his work. very nice work. also your avatar is a tease. tell me if its ever going up.
also can't wait to hear and see what gjd comes back with next saturday. hopefully Alienagent will be going with him or down as well. i was going to go but as of yestarday, i am kind of grounded due to too many pins and other toys... so till i get things thinned out in the shop i am not in the market for new ones. well really its, to my wifes knowledge i am not in the market for anything else.
It was nice meeting some of the guys today and talking about pins too bad to I had to run back to work I would have loved to stay longer and chat. p.s. Poolman, SUPER NICE job on the playfields!!!!!
Gory! Thanks first off for bringing me my beer from McMean, it's going down nicely.. And thanks for taking those things back to him for me (Hope you like 'em, Dan!)
As always, it was great seeing everyone again... highlights for me were getting rid of my second Pin*Bot (enjoy, Karmatose!), going to shake B1's hand before I leave and realizing he's taking a leak behind his truck and just meeting up with old friends.
I also really do think Starburst deserves a big thanks for running these auctions.. it's obvious at this point they don't really have to do it, but it's been a big part of the hobby for many years now and they deserve recognition for it.
'till next auction, all! And don't forget about the Niagara show coming up..
PS. Lots of people touched my rod today.. it was fantastic. (the Funhouse rod, that is)
Own Magic, Star Gazer, Batman Forever, STTNG, Mystery Castle (project)

Thanks for all the people that bought the playfields, and shared some "wisdom" with me. First time I have ever went to the starburst auction, and not purchased a game, shame. Cannot wait for the Fort Erie auction, if I had it my way, I'd buy the whole damn pile! Some real treasures in there ,( One mans junk another man's treasure). Thanks again for the encouragement for the museum as well.
It was a good time for sure, it's too bad we had to leave early. But it was nice to meet some people that I hadn't met before, Underachiever, Ricker and I believe gjd and Ballyboy, possible a couple of others? I'm horrible with names. Didn't come home with anything for myself, just some stuff from other people to repair, although I would have picked up the Strikes and Spare for sure, I've wanted one for years and have a complete set of working Bally -35 boards sitting on the shelf in my office.
gjd> I totally forgot to ask you about those tabletop machines, dangit.

My first time to a Starburst Auction (and their new location) although I didn't stick around to watch. Nice to meet you gjd, and thanks so much for the playfields! Great to see you again as well Dan! Think I was leaving just about the time folks were starting to pull into the parking lot next door, with machines in the back of trucks. I should have stuck around a bit longer.
