Alright you lurkers.. I understand your desire to scam good people out of their basement pins, but can you keep the "I WANT YOUR PINBALL MACHINE!!" ads on Kijiji down to a minimum? And by that, I mean.. not continually spamming Kijiji / Craigs with 3+ ads within 12 hours each other?

hardkor, let's say I know you have a penny that's rare, worth $100. And I offer you 10 cents for it. You're happy, until you realize that it's worth $100. Not tell you that it's worth that much is by definition, a scam.
*edit* Although I would concede that he's perhaps generalizing a bit. I'm sure there are some people that just want the machines, and will pay a fair price for them.
if to people two agree on a price and both are happy with the deal. just wondering where is the scam in that?
Happy for how long? Once the person finds out that their pin was worth 3x as much, they'll no longer be happy. Not technically a scam but it's a bit "grey".

While I understand your argument, that's not the point I was trying to make.
I understand people will put want ads for items they want on Kijiji (not just for pinball machines), but my point is.. is it really necessary to flood the site with them? Does it really help that much? It gets even worse when two or three people are doing it.. then you have to sift through pages of the same "want" ad just to find the stuff that's actually for sale.
If anything, you'd figure it would do the opposite.. and make people who don't know any better think to themselves "Hey, maybe this thing really is worth something!". Rightfully so, I guess.. aggressive buyers tend to make innocent sellers smarten up a bit.

here is something i did. i sold ( in trade) a banzai run for $800 then later found out the book value is $2700 who fault is that.... its mine. i should have found out the value before. to the person that got br knew what it was worth. he got a great deal is that his fault, not at all. it was my dumb a** that sold it before i look into its value. no ones fault but mine. i scammed myself for anyone calling those ads should look into what the games value is before calling.
and yes i run those ads and i always tell people book value when they call me. why do i run ads like that because i want to find rare game(s) like a moster bash. i don't want to pay x2 or x3 book value thats the real scammers.
Is it an atom? No, it's multiball! Complete MAACA-Wacko!

Yep, it's kinda getting like those people that buy your gold. Used to be one moron on tv all the time now there's 3 or 4. It gets irritating and everyone knows these people offer 10 cents on the dollar.
You can't control what other people do but that doesn't mean you have to like it. On the other hand who gives a sh%t!
I sent a message to the idiot that was offering tax receipts and I pretty much know it's that Steven Anderson in Hamilton unless someone is trying really hard to impersonate him. Anyway after a friendly warning that an offer of invalid tax receipts is very illegal and that people of authority have been informed of his offers, he removed the tax receipt offer from the ads. That was a scam as well as illegaly impersonating the actual people who really are starting an arcade museum.
I think you guys are reading too much into this...All he's saying is those I want your pin ads in Kijiji are getting tiring...especially if someones posting it every 3 hours. It sucks because when you goto your Kijiji page all bookmarked and ready to fly over to your pins for sale section, primed to see the goodies out there for grabs, and you see...I WANT YOUR PIN>>>GIMME YOUR PIN>>>etc...blah...its a classifieds section for selling pins...isnt it?
TSPP is here!! STTNG on the way! Tommy Stargate High Speed Genesis Aztec
