Ever have one of those days where you just want to do a quick little job and get it done but then it turns into a mega project that takes on a life of it's own??
Just wanted to pack my playfield up to transport it to Toronto so that it could carry on to Ottawa and then to Montreal. Just wanted something simple like wrapping it up in bubble wrap and duct tape or some cardboard to protect it. This is what I ended up with ....
Two pieces of 3/4" MDF screwed to the side of the playfield with two pieces of 1/4" plywood attached to them. Do you like the handle??? There are days I think I go to far and others I feel that I have not put in nearly enough effort. Guess that's why I'm the underachiever.

Only downside I can see is that if it gets dropped, there's nothing to cushion the blow. When you are in your next "overachieving" mood, perhaps modifying the inside with a foamy lining !

Well, as the "transporter" of this beast back to Ottawa, I'm sure all will be relieved to learn that the package survived the "harrowing" drive back (...of course, it took 3 guys to unload it from the truck ... I took the PF out and am now using the case as a safe ... Now I'm just waiting for an opportunity to complete it's journey to Sparky... Cheers, Steph |
