It adds a new effect, but it doesn't add a new multiball    You can still achive that same multiball even if you don't have the 3rd magnet

You had me scratching my head, I was like "A new multiball, I would have seen thaty by now, what gives"

Ed "Rocket Scientist" Cheung has his guide on the 3rd magnet installation - I trust his results of what size holes, etc to use if interested:

Pinbits has a 3rd magnet kit, I'd go with that again personally, it really makes it almost idiot proof.

I wouldn't say it eliminates the hassle, it just makes it easier.

As an example, instead of having to measure where the hole should be going, it gives you a guide so there is no guess work.  For the hole in the playfield as well as the hole on the lane guides.

But you still have to drill your playfield which is the biggest risk.

This Mod is not for the faint of heart that is for sure.

By hassle... I meant making the electronics and extra boards (very complicated for me).

Drilling a playfield does'nt worry me too much...especially with the instructions we've got here http://www.shootmagain.nl/games/dmdgames/tz/3rdmag/index_e.htm

Yea that hassle is gone, you don't need to build an extra board, it has all that taken care of for you in the hit.  Really good instructions on how to get it all done as well.
