Hey Guys,

Anybody know of a good place to play in Windsor?  My wife and I are heading down there tomorrow for a weekend seminar and were hoping to play a few games in our spare time.

Cheers,

Chris

Hi Chris, I am from Windsor, here is a site of bars and restaurants.
http://www.upfrontwindsor.com/barguide.htm

If you take a look some of them have games. I don't get out to the establishments much since the kids but I know the seminole house has a guns and roses the last time I was there.( it's by my work). Also are some bowling alleys

The rose bowl used to have some pins in it, but it has been a long time and I heard they renovated. But if you give some of those bar and grill places a call when you get here I'm sure you will find some games. We used to have an arcade called fast eddies which was great but they tore it down to make room for the chrysler building downtown.
If there is anything else I can help you with just let me know.....Troy

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I didn't get it until I returned.  We managed to find a few Stern machines close to our hotel, in a Family fun center.  One of the three were working more or less.  (Southpark)  Tthe soccer one (can't remember the name) sort of worked but had all sorts of software glitches, and Monopoly wasn't working at all.

Maybe I'm too old school, but I didn't really like these pins much at all.  The soccer game allowed a ball to be trapped behind a drop target in front of the goal, and southpark? well we spent more time watching the machine play itself than playing it.  It seems to be that almost every shot is a capture shot where the ball is ejected somewhere else.  And I found it really frustrating that it was hit and miss for getting a 2 player game going.  It seemed it was either 1 or 3 players.  Same thing for the soccer game.  So far I've played I think 4 different Stern machines including LOTR and didn't really enjoy any of them all that much.  The only thing I did like was the multiball, which my wifes HH doesn't have, other than that I'm less than impressed by the new style of pins.

Thanks for the info,

Cheers,

Christopher.
