I am looking for project pins in order to completely restore. I don't care on the shape of it. Worn playfields, rotted cabs... they don't scare me. I do prefer classic Stern machines as it is my firm intention to restore 2-3 classic Sterns to bring to Allentown so Cooke and I can play what REAL pinball machines should be. This being said, a Bally can do as well. I admit having played a few classic Ballys in A-Town and enjoyed them. Even cheezy ones like Future Spa.

And when I mean project, I prefer non-working and rough... the type of pin that most would part out. I cannot afford much (Gory's F2K looks awesome, but I can't afford it) but what I have are skills and time. The Dolly Parton I picked up in Allentown is a good example. No boards, no displays, dirty as hell and faded for 80$. If I can rconvert a Profesionnal back to an EK, nothing scares me anymore.

Let me know what you have... I can pick them up.

I am heading for Toronto on May 23rd... if anyone in TO has such a project, let me know.

You should get together with one or two other restorers and get those 15 pins off ebay.  It's a bit of a drive but would keep you busy a long time.  Split 3 ways is not as bad or contact the winning bidder for the globetrotter machine.

18-hour drive down... and a bad move to sell as a group. The seller would have made MUCH more money selling individually.

I would take it and restore it to perfection in a heartbeat... problem is I don't have the money you want for it... yet, anyways. But yes... many know I have had my eye on your ad for a while now. Even you know that. But I don't like to waste people's time when I know I can't afford it yet.

One thing you have to learn... your chances of getting something off of Lespac and/or Craigslist are slim to none. Keep in mind that 70% of people in this group are IT guys. They are on those sites most of the day. I have been actively collecting for years and I just landed my first Craigslist deal 3 weeks ago, because a buddy called me about it. All my other deals are through acquaintances... a guy that knows a guy that knows another that has a pin...

Jesus... why the hell am I replying...

Tell you what Mark... If I end up with 750$ cash with jobs to do on May 23rd, I will commit to buy your Nine Ball.

Hey, all you Toronto members... help Mark sell his Nine Ball, and contribute to the ''Save Allentown from being Stern-less'' foundation.

Thats total Bull Crap!!!
this morning ,while waiting for my clear to flash I saw a new add on "lespac" well, well something new!!
Stern Trident and Bally Atlantis both for 800 bucks! Called up the guy who was 5 min. from work and told him I had my pick-up and cash was no problem.
I WAS THE FIRST ONE THERE!!!
The trident was real nice, could of bought it alone for cheap but not on my list, the Atlantis was rough with insert wear....  still a good deal but  not for me!
like I said, The early bird gets the morning worm,.....you snooze you loose!

Well then....  finish my Galaxy PF and you'd have some more $$ in hand for that Nine Ball...   (just kidding, I remember the "Don't ask me when it's done" disclaimer very clearly)

You guys are sneaky, making me post...

Actually, it will be done shortly. I took a close look at a nice Galaxy at Allentown to get the inserts right. I got brand new rollover inserts for it. I just need to install them and start touching up. After the TO delivery, I hit the playfields hard. I should be done with all of them before Canada day.

Big Game is in my van, and I have a tentative deal for a Meteor. Still hoping for some developments for the Nine Ball.

If anyone wants a playfield or two done in Toronto, let me know...

Update... Big Game in the basement, Meteor on the way, Stern Magic to be picked up soon. All done by trades.

Not bad for 3 days of searching.
