Your on the legal edge. Its straight out slander. Yes, I buy low and sell at book price - unless it has something special to it, but the other stuff dictionary stuff is law suit material.
I have always offered my items to Maaca membership ahead of Kijiji or Craigslist... never said you had to buy it, never said you'd like the price... just figured I should offer the machines to you guys first - before I sell to someone else at my selling price (which I always do, so the prices are not unreasonable - and again they are typically book prices).
Due to the nature of the urban post text, it can obviously be associated with me (based on past posted bashing), so Whomever posted this is obviously from this board, , has a dislike for me, has access or common knowledge of these sites, and in my experience is usually closely associated with person bringing information like this to public knowledge.... so they can enjoy the reaction... (helps narrow it down...).
What I would ask is for whomever posted the slanderous material, please remove it. It is uncalled for, immature and bordering on illegal. Sure associate me with making a profit, call me on buying machines at the sellers price even though I know I can resell it for more. That I do not refute.
Finally, I lived in Toronto during University and met "GAY" people - some it was obvious, some not so much, many I had no idea until they came out. But the one thing they all had in common in speaking to them afterwards was being afraid that someone would find out about their lifestyle before they were ready to share. I am not gay, but I'll tell you I have no problem with gay people (I consider many my friends!) I also do not care one bit what they or ANYONE else does in their bedroom. I think that joking about someone being outed (and obviously to cause damage) is totally inappropriate for a board like this. The entire thing is in very poor taste, and not something that should be joked about. It is a slap in the face to may people who (not by choice, but by genetics) have to live in a society where they are made the brunt of jokes. I though we were beyond this... guess not, sorry "Gays".... There's at least one more hater out there!

I just think using a group of identifiable people, who have their own societal issues, to make a joke Is in poor taste and should be permitted on this or any board. I'll leave it to the board operator to decide since I have no control.

There are 2 lawyers on MAACA, but they don't advertise due to the fact that this is a website about a hobby called pinball, and it is pretty much the last place they would expect to intervene.

If he’s going to continue to conduct himself as he has in the past he can’t expect to be treated like everyone else at the “party”, because that is not what we as collectors/hobbiests do. We generally are a courteous bunch that looks out for one another, or at least I would like to think so, and I think we do a good job of policing ourselves. When we see BS, we call it BS. (or in this case, when we see a “Tglover”, well you get the idea)
If Terrence has an issue with the way he’s being treated, maybe it’s time he looked in the mirror and did something about it? It’s not like its just one person here that seems to have issue with his actions, so can that many people be wrong about him?

Your absolutely right. If I am selling something at a greatly exagerated price, I will not give Maaca members a look-see first or at all. I will just post it elsewhere so others will have the oppertunity to pick it up.
I should have never given Maaca members the oppertunity at an exagerated price - and for that I appologize. So as per your advice, if I have something I think is special and deserves a premium, I will no longer offer it to Maaca members on this board.

I don't even know if there is a point in responding, it's amazing how you can just keep missing the point even though it's staring you in the face time and time again.
Just because you don't do it to MAACA members doesn't mean that we are going to be accepting of you doing it anywhere else either. Don't you get it? Do I really need to spell it out for you?? Most people don't agree with the ethics of your business practices and as a result call you on your BS time and time again.
