I'm new to this and would love to go to one of the meetings.

I do not yet own a pinball machine. I am actively looking
to purchase one to play and learn to repair, etc.

Hopefully I can get some help in that regard. (Purchase recommendations)

I'm an Electrician with electronics/digital experience, so am hoping to utilize
some of those skills.

I have approximately $750 to purchase an entry-level model.

Hello mag00 and welcome to MAACA! You're welcome to attend the meeting at my place next Saturday, it's only about 15 minutes from Perth.

Electronics experience will be very valuable if you purchase a solid-state pinball machine. Keep an eye on the forum classifieds, there's almost always something available in the Ottawa area; more if you're willing to travel as far as Montreal or Toronto.

Conveniently close too

As for my first pinball machine. I would like to go with something a little simpler to start out with.
2-4 player, digital displays. Was hoping to get something playable with the potential to learn while
I repair/upgrade it. Was planning on spending $750ish. That reasonable?
