I have read other complaints on RGP over the years as well. Personally, I would rather pay a fair price and shop it out myself. My .02

Agreed, I would rather shop it myself. I know of another local collector that was not impressed with their product. For the money, HEP pins seems to be received more favourably.

Oh hell yeah! There is NO WAY I would ever pay a premium just to get a game from TC or the like. All the fun for me is finding a diamond in the rough and bringing it up to this type of standard on my own.
I too have heard a few stories about TC games not living up to the hype, but I've also heard more stories about how nice their games are. Are they worth the premium? Not to me, but to others they are or they wouldn't sell.

Totally agree.
I played to machines restored by TC not so llong ago and at the end, I have to tell these machine are not playing better than a fair good one at $4K or $5K less than what TC is asking. But the other thing I have to say, TC machines looks awsome and not so far from perfection. Really pleasant for the eyes.

My PROTO IJ is on it's way to looking like that. NEW brass armour,legs sideart playfield to be cc plastic set led's another 100 hours and it will be done.
We've had this discussion before. Wasn't the verdict that TC unlike HEP has different levels of shopping out machines and you get what you pay for from them i.e. if you pay for a quick once over you get a quick once over.
Therefore with TC there is no guarantee your getting a superior shop out job?

You would be correct. No matter what package you get from them, the price will always be inflated. I'm wondering if people bought games from them around the 5K mark expecting a full blown resto??? (and that is why they are not satisfied with the product)
