Good day all,

I recently purchased my first pin a short while back.  She is doing much better now since she had not worked for many years.  As you can see from my title it is Segasa and I learned a lot about my baby except that I can't seem to find someone that has heard or even had one like this.

I found someone in Holland but I was hoping to maybe see if you guys know of someone that has one working or not closer to home?  The reason I am asking for your help is that my backglass is missing a piece thus I will have to make a translite or find a replacement and it seems that so far not many can be found.

Ever heard of this pin?

Sounds like it was the one from workingpins (Geoff Parr) here
that I have referred to you over email...

The backglass picture on ipdb is probably not detailed enough,
but may be enough to get you started in the mean time:

Good luck !
- Sylvain.

Salut Sylvain,

Indeed it is the one you referred to me and I am still having a lot of fun with it.  But as stated I am unable to find someone that has owned a working one around here.  I already have everything that can be found on the internet about it.

I will keep looking,

tks for answering

Tu peux aussi avoir une bonne idee en lisant les commentaires sur Internet Pinball Database...

http://www.ipdb.org/showpic.pl?id=467&picno=28963

Only two comments on the database...:

1. Who told that Spanish pinballs cannot compete with American machines? Segasa made some nice games, very much in the same style as Williams. (This pinball contains many Williams parts). If you own a Williams "Big Deal", this would be a perfect twin brother with similar style and colours. The advantage of Spanish pinballs is their polyurethane playfields. They simply last eternally and you really have to do your best to cause slight damage. And it plays pretty fast. It took me weeks to get this lady running again (and to find out that I only had to adjust a screw of the bonus unit for about 2 mm....). Anyway, my wife decided that this one has to stay. We'll see. Anyway, if you can find a "Casino Royale" for a reasonable price, it is worth the investment. The spinning roulette is great.

2.One of the last mechanical systems - technics is more interesting, than playing it. A lot of features for a mechanical system - and a lot of repair.

tks I had read them too and contacted the person who wrote the first post.  He is in Holland close to the border with Germany.  He offered to sell me his machine for very cheap but I guess shipping would be a little over the top.

Hey! on the positive side it would appear that I am the only one around here that has/had this machine.......I feel special

tks
