So anyone have a summer project they are working on, pin or vid?

Usually people keep the projects for the winter when they are stuck inside, but I am sure some are still working on some during the summer.

Hey why go outside in the nice sun, when you can work in the dark basement, hunched over a machine

I still have a Missile Command to work on. Finish a bit of wiring. Then get a monitor installed.

So what project(s) are you working on?

I'm the exact opposite. I can't get machines into my basement and my garage is not heated. So I will be spending a large part of my summer working on my machines out in the garage.

Hmm projects for the summer...

Well I guess one would be to finally get my Baby Pacman all done up ( cap kit, fix the cabinet (again), and many other things that probably wont get done rightt away)

and fill up a pinslot with a P2K machine ( hopefully an RFM )

try to get around to further completing the mame cabinet

fix remaining little bits and pieces to my existing collection of pins ( change a BR and EOS switch on Getaway, help my friend clean up and transport his F-14 parts onto a new playfield )

there are just always things to do....

It would all be done if it wasn't for the work, the boat, the pool etc.

Just capped the monitor in my mame on Friday, replaced all the buttons and joysticks with new ones, tossed on a new CPO. Looks and plays really great now. Next, I want to de-case the computer and mount the parts inside the cab.

I changed out the batteries and replaced them with a button-style lithium battery in my Robotron earlier this summer. I need to replace the CPO and joystick grommets next. I have everything, I just need to DO IT! (Does anyone know if Robotron grommets are any different from standard Wico grommets? I suspect they're the same, but want to make sure).

I'm also working on my damn Phoenix cocktail. I'm going to replace the linear power supply with a switcher. Hopefully that'll be all I need to do. Then it's out the door as fast as possible. It's one of those projects that wore out its welcome a loooong time ago.

Someday, I'm going to remove the mylar from my Firepower (yes, my FP has day-1 mylar and a beautiful playfield lies underneath).

That's it.

I would ask Steph about that. I heard he has worked on a robotron if two (currently has 3 robotrons if I remember correctly).

just finished my mutlit-cade and just got to get some sideart (easy part).  all the switchs and such are set up proper.  2p set up and loads of fun.

also bought everything to do my donkey kong and then realized that i had a donkey kong jr cabinet.  so now i am going to have to get everything for that(have marquee already).  so now i have everything to do a donkey kong.  side art, marquee, bezel, control panel and boards.  so now to look for a proper unit.  anybody?

besides that i have my mars trek em that only needs a small amount of work.  surprised no one bought it.  so guess i will finish it and resell it for more or just keep it.
wacko is a project i passed on to another to do.

then there is some pins i just got that need to be strip and done up nice.

so yes.  this summer will be busy at the shop for a couple reasons.  but do have airconditioning.  just to cheap to turn it on all the time.  cost the price of one nice pin to run it for the summer!  or more....

Hey that's funny I still have a NOS Fire! pf and it's bottom half is populated now. lol.

One project at a time. I don't want to end up like Monkeybug.

I am kind of swaying toward BSD for the moment, but am easily sidetracked.

Hell I even started to like mark's JP. What the hell is that all about?
