AFM

because i'm a fan of wpc-95 sights and sounds, and afm is among the best

TAF is fun however it is butt-ugly, tinny sound effects, and because "TZ is a better TAF than TAF".

Tough Call, Kind of Apples and Oranges. AFM, Flow Flow Flow, AF Modes modes...

If the price and Condition are same, go for AFM, There are Tons of Addams out there, Very popular and very expensive, but AFM will keep going up. AF Will be the same in a year.

Just my thoughts though...

Dave

AFM, no question. Had both, actually had two AF's and sold them both. My AFM would be the second last pin I sell.

TAF over AFM any day of the week.

Much more to do in TAF then AFM, the theme is built perfectly into the game.  Fun Wizard mode, I still love getting to it.  One of the best multiballs out there, the light show, the build up and then IT'S SHOWTIME!!!!!!!  Best use of magnets in a game by far, best knocker use ever in a pinball.  TAF will never leave my collection, I don't think I'd ever buy a AFM not worth the price IMO.

Pop Quiz. So a guy comes along (not me) and says I have a really nice AFM and will trade you for your really nice TAF (not TAFG). What do you do?

Oh by the way. AFM has a Fun Wizard mode, so I am told, I have never gotten it.

I really Really Like AFM, But I can't say that I would Jump right in and do that trade. Probably Yes, just because Addams is easy to replace, Lots around, just expensive.

I really wish I was in a position to answer this question as I can't wait to get a chance to play AFM.  All I know is that I picked up an Addams Family recently and am very happy to have "The King of Pins," in my collection (based on its success - not price).

I have watched him beat the game personally .... rule the universe is an understatement; he absolutely destroyed the machine.  I didn't feel like playing my next ball as all the fun had been sucked out of it.

i hate watching phil play pinball, for a crappy player like me its just embarassing and painful. having "JIM" on your machine for the duration of your ownership sucks.

Phil. levels his games. The ball can never drain. He also sticks a rag in between the flippers.

So how much are you guys getting paid to defend Phil anyways?

I'd say Thanks but No thanks, aside from the nostalgic factor as TAf is one of the games I remeber playing most back when I was a kid in the arcades and the fact it was my first ever pin purchased.

TAF > AFM IMO!

Phil, where do you buy your machines from? The Goodwill? When has a very nice TAF come up for $2500 Cdn

Not to worry Vengeance. Decent AFM's are so scarce that it is really not feasible anyway.

Mike's machine without the clearcoat. Yeah, we know.

Why is it in pieces? Do you need me to show you how to put it back together? Sheesh. And don't give me the excuse you are too busy, because I haven't seen anything out of Phil's garage in awhile.

Playfield will be back before christmas, then just to clean up the wiring loom, fix a couple nicks on the cabinet and I'll have a collector quality TAF.

AF is great.  one of my fav's.  will never own one.  use to be at a bar in peterborough i worked at called BPM.  i spent one day playing AF.  well by the time it started getting busy around 7ish, i was still playing and was on my way to rolling it for the second time.  was serving and such most of the time.  well intil des came in at 10 for his shift i was still playing and by then most of the customers were severing themselves and me as well.  well i kept playing most of the night and by the time i finished i was on my way to rolling it for the third time.  no b.s. at all.  have the whole bar who saw most of my playing.  couple people were pissed because they didn't get to play at all that night.  only other machine then was a sit down racer.

AFM i have played a few time at playdeum (however you spell it).  also at a couple members homes.  so i would go after it.  enjoyed it and know that it has a great resale value.  seems like loads of fun and would like to play it alot more.  so would really like one in the house sooner or later.
