Hey all,

I f anybody has something to bring from Mtl to Ottawa region in the next few weeks, let me know. I will be bringing the Evel Knievel pinball to Newf112 in Ottawa as soon as it is completed. I have room for other little parts if necessary.

You can drop off what you need to have shipped to my place, or leave it with JD, as we see each other every week or so.

I think that Katarak would need a monitor + board send from ottawa (Highspeed) to montreal.

Maybe you can help him off.

I will be going to Azatotht's on Friday... I can pick it up at 6-6:30pm. Send me a PM, and let me know who I give it to in Ottawa... as long as it isn't 2 hours away from where I am going.

Hey Ian, I'm running low on beer and pretzels.
Do you think that you could drop off a case and a couple of bags at my house while your out running around?

Thanks a lot
Adam

BTW I like the big knotted pretzels... not the little sticks, you can poke an eye out with those!

I know where you are getting at... I am not an errand boy... just helping out. I will not go over 30 minutes or more out of my way to go deliver something.

Besides, I am not going anywhere for at least 2 weeks... I have to poly the bare EK playfield, install the overlay, reassemble it, and most importantly, see the birth of my son in less than 2 weeks...

O.K fine!... I'll get my own beer then.
Geez you ask a guy to do a simple thing and then the excusses start flying.

BTW you better get all the rest you can now dude cause you won't be seeing any free time for a long while once your son is born.

OK people... planning to go to Newf112's place on Friday Dec.16th. Let me know how I can help.

TakoChef? I will try to go to your place this week to pick up the playfields if deal still stands, unless someone in the area can bring them to me. I would rather this as i save over 1 hour with my son! (No... not born yet...)

Anybody else, lemme know!

Ian,

If I may offer a word of advice...

Don't under-estimate the time committment of a newborn.
..not so much for the baby as for your wife.

She will rely on you quite a bit for the first week or so,
(...especially if it's an induced labor.. )
and sleep deprivation kicks in quickly when you have a baby
that wants to be fed every 2 hours...

Given that junior is to be born quite likely this week-end,
planning a day of travel next friday is perhaps an added stress
you can do without.

If it can help out at all, I can offer to go to Montreal and bring your EK
back to Newf112 (...we actually both work at Nortel... ),
as it seems I "may" have a Robotron to deliver (hopefully),
so I'd have to make the drive anyways...

The only glitch is that it would likely be later than the 16th
(...possibly the 22nd or 23rd, or between X-mas and New Years ..)

But like I said, this is only one man's opinion...
You might have the in-laws staying with you
and you'll WANT to get out of the house next Friday !

Cheers,
Steph

I leave it up to you... I would of course rather stay home, but a sale commitment is a sale commitment.

Newf112 is paying 50$ for delivery. He can always give you the money and you pick it up.... BUT ONLY IF YOU MAKE THE DRIVE ANYWAYS.

I know my wife will need me, but she also understands that the machine is sold (thatès why I have over 30 hours of work on it in 2 weeks). Besides, my parents live downstairs and can help out for 1 evening.

You guys work it out if you wish. Please let me know beforehand.

I've already mentioned to Sparky that I can wait while he spends some time with wife and new baby.  If we can work something else out that's cool with me.  Heck, if Steph is delivering a machine to Montreal I could go along and help him with the lifting.

Mike.
