reg US$1.19 on sale this Friday at cointaker.com for US$0.89 each.

Thought I'd pass this along in case any one wants to patronize them.  I'll be making a largish order.

"Friday" as in "Aug 20th" or as in "Aug 27th" ?   Only askin' cuz there's no mention of it on their website.

That's weird.  I SWEAR when I first went to the website in my "favourites", they were listed as $1.19.  Now they show up as $0.89.  When does the sale end ?

Look again.  It's the ULTRA brights that are $2.49.  "Super" bright are on for $0.89.

It was kinda hard to find. Why not just change the price of the LEDs in their actual category? That's how every other website on the internet does sales.

Whenever I go to order LEDs I become paralyzed by choice. Too many options and colours! I'm so confused! I'd order a kit for a game if it had the super bright LEDs at the reduced price.

I am going to order myself if no one in Ottawa is.

can someone tell me (in a nutshell) what the difference is between polorizer and non polorized?

does the polerized only light on both halfs of the AC "charge" and the polorized light on only 1 half of the AC charge

EG..

Polorized = on, off, on, off, on, off ect.. ct ect..
Non polorized = on, on, on, on, on, ect ect ect....

ok something WAY FVCKING COOL just happened to me!

I asked the same above question on polarized vs non-polarized LEDs on the cointaker website. 20 min later, my phone rings... it is Chris from Cointaker!  

Chris PERSONALLY called me back to explain the difference in between his 2 products!  

To me this is "above and beyond", something you do not get much in today's day and age. Needles to say I am putting in my order.

I hope you mentioned you got word of the sale from WAYNE at PINBALLISNOTDEAD.COM....    I just spent $400 at cointaker, so perhaps some good karma will come to all of us for bringing in some sales from MAACA!

Non-polarized equals having a rectifier (or at least 2 LEDs back to back).  The No Flix Plus from Germany also include a capacitor so that the LED remains energized during the voltage drop between AC cycles (or if it's a half wave posing as DC).   I went all out on COintaker due to the pricing differential this time, and the Cointaker Supers are close to the Noflix Plus, we;ll see if they stand up under all the flicker conditions (I think they might flicker when WPC's reduce the attract brightness...) - but I will report more after I've done a couple machines.

I bought a super kit from Chris and got an amazing deal. I just could not resist the savings!

Chris called me and we spoke for a bit, he even has some LEDs to replace home residential light bulbs, but no PAR 20's.

I appreciate this type of service.

Just ordered ~$130 worth last night. Enough to completely do Getaway and some blinkers for TZ.
