Hey wait a minute... I thought Funhouse was a WPC game???
Adam
Actually it generally was. But there was a weird Sys11 hybrid in the beginning. Well a sys11/WPC hack. Because it is a non-DMD...I always think its in the Sys11 family. I guess if someone sold me one, I would know better!. I also have to edit my previous post... I think there is one other regular (lurker) who has more Sys11 games than me... We need a list from her.
From IPDB: "Also, early production models of Funhouse have the Williams System 11 sound board (part no. D-11581) hooked up to the WPC board (via an adapter), because the WPC sound board wasn't yet ready for distribution."
"I also have to edit my previous post... I think there is one other regular (lurker) who has more Sys11 games than me... We need a list from her......."
Now Monkeybug - how would you know that . I do happen to have a few since I fell in love with System 11's, but I also haven't played all of them like some of you guys so I'll keep my list to played games.
My favourites in order: Earthshaker Diner Whirlwind Mousin Around Taxi
What I actually own in Sys 11 - ES, Diner, WW, Gameshow, and Transporter with Mousin Around and Bad Cats on my wish list
Speaking of which, anybody want to part with theirs - think of the perfect home they'd get with a vet
Anyways, I started with DMD's but have to admit I love System 11's more due to the animations, sounds, music and light shows especially WW even in attract mode.
Honorable mention: Big Guns F14 TomCat (I wish it had drop targets)
Would like to try/own one day: Swords of Fury Space Station Black Knight 2000
Interestingly, no one yet nominated Road Kings, Cyclone nor Police Force (and a few others). 'To each their own' as was mentioned before !
Cheers, - Sylvain
Looking for 1966 Bally Capersville, 1967 Bally The Wiggler, 1981 Stern Viper, 1986 Pinstar Gamatron, 1986 Williams Grand Lizard, 1991 Williams Bride of Pinbot, and a few others. Cash or some trades available. Could also repair a machine of yours +/-$ if needed, in exchange for one machine on my want list, non-working/unshopped welcome!

No. But if my West Highland Terrier shits on my carpet one more time, you might have her for free!
I am somewhat in agreement with medvet, but I also love my DMD games. The older pre DMD games had to work a lot harder to be fun. They were more reliant on carrying out the theme through unique playfield design, lighting effects (i.e. Fire et al) and sound. Almost a different animial (bad pun intended) from a DMD machine.
Although "interesting" the only game I would consider buying back would be BK2K. I got bored real quick of all of them in home play... But that's just me, a good game is a deep game. I don't think we can argue that any of these are deep... BK2K is a shooters game with a soundtrack that could compete with lots of DMD games. For these reasons, I would consider getting it again.
Honorable mention: Big Guns (one of the toughest skill shots) F-14 (speeeeeeeeeeed!) Banzai Run (Cool vertical playfield)
I wouldn't mind a Taxi/BK2K/Pinbot in my collection one day, but if a DMD would show up for the same price as a WMS DMD (except the usual Hurricane/Popeye), I would probably go for the DMD...
Although I love the Sys11's I find them relatively easy...thus the challenge only lasts a short period of time.
