Any idea why the 2nd player on my KISS machine starts off with the 2 green "s" inserts already lit ?  It only happens to the 2nd player and it only occurs if the first player has lit some of their letters or if the 2nd player has lit some of the letters on previous balls.

I have an Alltek board in so I find it hard to believe it's an MPU issue, but I guess anything can happen.

Maybe the transistors from the lamp driver board stuck occasionally !

Sounds like either:
- MPU dip switches set to wrong game;
- Alltek board software bug
- bad CMOS memory chip on the Alltek board...

Contact the Alltek support/email with your Kiss problem description,
I am sure you'll get an answer...

- Sylvain.

I took out the Alltek board that I had in there which was a few years older.  When I put in a more recent Alltek board, the problem went away.   Hmph.   I guess it's an MPU problem afterall.  Perhaps I never noticed it before because that older Alltek was usually put into games with fewer lamps (?)

Thanks for the replies.

Contact Alltek. They warranty their boards for life and they mean it. If they can't fix it, they'll send you a new one. Even if you're not the original purchaser of the board, they'll honour the warranty. No kidding. All you'll be out is the cost to ship it there.
