Not sure if it is him again, but it seems to be in his style.

Don't hold me to it, but my gut reaction would be that this isn't Mr. Anderson's MO.

First time auctioneers should always be treated with care, but if it's a "Pay on pick up" and "No Shipping available, delivery or pick up only" then the risks are more palatable.  (And again, not Mr. Anderson's usual MO for eBay - from which he is banned I believe.)

Nevermind, it is likely Mr. Anderson, sorry Enzo.  If anyone can find the original source of the images, let us know and we can report a copyright violation to eBay.  Here is his response to my request to preview the item:

Dear websherpa,

Hamilton, ontario is where it can be picked up, and its in storage so its not accessible right now to view.

More info: http://www.xmission.com/~daina/blacklist.html check out Stephen Anderson aka Mark Uttley at the TOP of the list (or bottom of the food chain if you will).

Damn.... I was watching that one.  I also initially thought 'scam' but the whole 'pay when you pick it up' made me think it just might be legit.  Unless his plan was really to mug me... now that's a different MO altogether.

(Mind you, I am a Jedi Tae-Kwon-Do Master, so I'd break his neck)

I'd bet in this case you'd get an actual machine, but it wouldn't be nearly as "mint" as his auction states.. and he'd force you to take it anyway or he'd leave neg. feedback (or break your arms, who knows)

Notice how he says that 'you have to arrange shipping'. My guess is that he'd hope someone would do that, then pocket the money and give a bogus address. If you said you were coming to pick it up, he'd disappear.

Some RGP talk about the auction, probably not a the type of scam we thought.

Update: Here's another. I don't think it's a scam, just someone who is a bit too generous with his item description. Buyer beware though!

That's the Anderson MO alright, although I am sure there is more than one crazy out there selling pinball machines (or scamming poor collectors).

Update, all of the canadian liquidator's auctions have been pulled.  They must have suspected it to be Anderson (wasn't me who tipped them off).  I hope the first winner gets warned as well.

I posted on RGP on  this yesterday. The thing that is fishy to me is that the seller states CLEARLY that he would cancel all bids from bidders with a zero feedback rating, and actually cancelled one bid from a guy with a rating of one... but take a close look at all the bids on the auctions... ALL the "runner-up" bidders who jacked up the price were bidders with... zero feedback. These auctions have SHILL written all over them.

I have sent a message to the winner of the Jacks Open.  We'll see if he can shed some light on the situation.
