All,
I am currently fixing and shopping a 1974 Recel 'The Fiery 30s' EM pinball machine for someone in Kingston. This is the 4-player version of the 2-player 'Bang-Bang'. These machines were manufactured in Madrid, Spain, and a few ended-up here in North America.
I just noticed that under the top arch on the left side of the playfield, not visible with the arch in place, the playfield is labeled with the following:
THE GODFATHER (1,027-0) BANG-BANG (1,028-0)
Was that game supposed to be called The Godfather, and there was an issue with licensing (or not getting a licence, and lawyers threatened to sue if not changed) ? Anyone knows ?
Cheers, - Sylvain.
