So there I was this evening.. 7 PM.. I'm working nights and have to leave the house by 7:45. I figure I have time for 1 game before jumping in the shower.. I start a game on TZ.. Lose my 3rd ball at about 7:10 with 800M.. Look at the clock, figure I don't have time for another so I go ahead and take the extra ball buy-in... Just 1 more ball....
Fast forward to 7:35.. Still playing on the same damn ball, I haven't even showered/shaved yet and I have to leave in 10 minutes!!! I let it drain. I now have 4 stacked extra balls (outlane, robots, spirals and dead ends) 2.3B and 4 modes away from my SECOND LITZ in the same game.. but I'm OUT OF TIME!!!.. I turned down the volume to 0, got ready and left for work with the ball in the shooter lane, ready to go.. I just hope my wife / kids don't turn off the machine before I tell them not to...
Can't wait for tomorrow morning 4 balls to complete 4 modes for LITZ..

It isn't cheating if you turned the power off, and then later turned it on, took the glass off, played around with the table and brought yourself back to exactly same spot in my books.
You sure there isn't some rule about how long a game can sit unplayed? You know like the 2 second rule for dropping stuff on the ground and then eating it?

Actually if anything, I'll suck tomorrow morning - I'm usually dead tired after my night shift. Playing cold also isn't a good thing, especially with a game that's already started and I have specific goals to aim for right away..
We'll see what happens..

I set all my buy in machines to just one ball. Just in case I am that close to a special event. I figure if I need another buy in after that, then I just don't deserve it.
I really like the games that break out the buy high scores from the regular 3 ball game highs cores. The 3 ball game high score holds higher status in my books. It takes a lot of will power on a great game to just say "enough" and not buy in that extra ball. I like it when the machine holds that stat separately. TZ unfortunately makes no distinction.

I do the same with my Indy500 & Shadow, except a few weeks before PAPA, which I'll set my game 'tournament + no extra balls' to practice.

Yeah, I like my Shadow just for that... and as strange as it sounds, I think my top 'regular game' score is higher than my 'buy-in' one...
frosken...still alive...

I don't know what ROM version you're running but TZ DOES make the diff!! There's a high score list AND a buy-in list.

I was really "rusty"... It wasn't too bad but definitely not great
Ended up with 3.1B ( my previous buy-in high score was 2.0B )...
