I did check a while ago, I think it is around $500 if I recall (with new rubber rings, new pinball, 100% working and no visible wear).
The same person had contacted me about the same machine last year.
I contacted him a few days ago following his ad on Kijiji, and he replied today indicating that he 'received plenty of offers at $1500 and $2000'.
Hmmm... Right... I do not believe it a second I told him the actual value of the machine and that I was not interested any longer. Plus, I will avoid that person in the future, as I am not sure I can trust him !
Good luck !
Cheers, - Sylvain.

Mr.Pinball 2008 lists it at the same price again ($525).
I have no problem with people asking whatever price for their items, even if they are not realistic. The general population usually have no clue of the actual age and value of an old pinball machine. This is fine and understood.
I however strongly dislike people clearly trying to take advantage of others, or being lied to (I am 99.9% sure that this is the case for this machine here). This is what is making me believe that this is a lie: 'received plenty of offers at $1500 and $2000'.
Anyhow, there are so many machines available out there (and I have too many already) that I am pleased I will *not* purchase that particular one.
Cheers, - Sylvain.

Yes, I got the exact same response when I inquired. That's why I asked for the book price (though I knew darn well it wasn't even close to that range). I find it very hard to believe they got any offers in that range. I suspect that even if they don't know the exact value of the machine, they have an idea, but are hoping to pull a fast one on someone looking to relive a little youth.
On the other hand, if you have more money than sense, you get what you deserve, I guess. I mean, if they actually manage to find someone willing to spend $1500 - $2000 without doing any research on actual value, it's hard to feel sorry for the buyer.
Well if he got so good offers, maybe we can make a partnership with him to sell our pin, even if we give 50% off the selling price, we still over

There is an apparently nice 100% working 1971 Bally Expressway pinball machine for sale on http://www.lespac.com located near Quebec City (Levis), for $425. Ad# 6631505.
I have not seen the machine in person, and I do not know the seller. But this is much more in-line with the real machine's value!
Cheers, - Sylvain.
