Don't forget that this site does not run itself, and takes money to keep it going. While the sale of t-shirts helps a bit, it does not cover everything. That and the site makes very little on every t-shirt sold (like $3-4 I think), and it costs a lot more to keep the site running (domain and server fees).
I just wanted to thank the people that donated recently for their continuing support of the site. Without it........well you would be talking to yourself more often. And we don't want that happening any more than it already does.
That or you would have to spend more time with the significant other
OK... I was asked to do a refresher on this. The links were getting old.
You are most welcome to donate to keep the site running. Any amount can be given, it is entirely up to you.
4 ways to DONATE:
1- click on the DONATION link on the MAACA main page. Uses Paypal.
2- you can send the amount to my Paypal account ( fitz-simon@videotron.ca ). Make sure to say who it is from in the notes! I may know your aliases but not always you names!!!
3- you can send me a cheque if you want. I can PM you my address.
4- cash in person, best bet at a meeting, but is up to you.
Again, it is entirely to your discretion. I don't ask for money, nor push for it. I like to keep it on a donation-basis... keeps everything free and open.

Now, you see? THAT is exactly what I said would be the first reply, and is exactly why I didn't want to post about it, but a member encouraged me to.
On the contrary Steph... Ian is selling what he has left because Ian can no longer afford to be in the hobby but Ian loves the site so much that Ian invests 20+ hours a week plus pays for it all.
Well, actually, the money gathered from the site stays on the site. Always has. My problems at home are another matter and I do not wish to discuss about that too much. Gets boring after a while...

Ian ..., your skin is getting too thin !
Everyone knows (inlcuding yourself I'm sure !) that I'm pulling your chain .
We all know that Sparky, JD3, MacPhreak & Splitskull are all above repraoch and I would never hesistate for a moment to deal with any of them in any fashion.
I can't say enough about this site and the work all the admins do to keep it running.
I know the amount of time I need to spend to keep my little HobbyRoms website running, which I know is probably a drop in the bucket compared to the worked needed to maintain and police an active newsgroup with over 500 members ! (...the fact that MAACA probably the most useful and active Arcade site in Canadian HISTORY speaks for itself .
I would therefore encourage anyone who's got a [positive] Paypal balance, to donate a few dollars to the site. (especially anyone who's in the top 30 posters ! ).
.... All the what??? Did your boss catch you screwing around at work?
EDIT: Now I see you removed that half-sentence.. lol... GET TO WORK MISTER!!
