What do you use to keep all these components organized? I was thinking about using the Crappy Tire organizers that usually go on sale but anyone have a better system. What about rubbers? I'm currently using the ziploc-bag-it-all system.
Any other suggestions?

I've got an organiser like the CT one for resistors, cause I hate trying to figure out what's what, so I just label the storage bins. Most of the other stuff I just keep in plastic flip top organisers in no real order and pull out as needed. Rubbers I just keep in the nightstand beside the bed - that makes the most sense.

Actually I don't need to store my rubbers since they get used up quickly .
Ok back on topic I use the rubbermaid white cabinets(4 drawer) with wheels to store all my stuff. I use a small tackle box type thing to put all my spare bolts, resisters, doides etc.

I use these for all my components, Canadian Tire has these on sale occasionally....
I use something fairly similar, and I label some bins with game specific parts. I also have some bigger stackable bins that I use for larger parts. I got everything setup on a fairly large bookshelf. I also use a rolling tool box for all my tools so I can drag it easily to each machine.

Initially, I thought it would be neat print big labels, image mirrored, onto sticky transparent laser paper placed under the lid so I bought a 10-pack of these for $15: http://www.staples.ca/ENG/Cata.....xedcode=WW&VLP=1. It worked out okay but the sticky 'paper' was more translucent than transparent. Naturally, I forgot to mirror the first output so I had made scrap. But then I cut it in strips and stuck it to the bottom of the box. I kinda liked it better. Arguably, the fuses and crap cover the labels so you can't readily see numbers but you can always look underneath. Or I'll do both. I even used the excess to make side labels when they're shelved for easy recognition.
That's it, I'm satisfied I won't waste time wondering what fuses I have constantly digging around anymore. Now I'm ready to build my GPE order to fill out the fuse *bling*.

I'm the parts storage King (or Queen). I use 5 of the CT 40 drawer organizers for electronics parts, the compartmentalized Jobmate organizers (and a carrying case) for fuses, coil sleeves, a stock of bulbs, two for LEDs (one 44 type, one 555 type), two for rubbers (one white, one black), one flip top organizer of flipper parts and switches... two rolling carts, one for shopouts and repairs, one for scanning, colorimeter and computer, a rolling tool box for, well, tools, 3 large four tier plastic shelves for larger parts bins and overstock (of all of the above), a plastic bin with lid (some pop top, some hinged) with parts and electronics specific to machines "in process", 3 shop workbenches (one electronic, one woodwork, one heavy metal).... an array of parts bins (kiddie toy organizer bins and shelves) for used parts....
... sometimes it's all I can do to turn around.... but I just love dem parts!
I like your labelling Kevin, I've been using a Dymo LetraTag and removable opaque labels, but yours are cooler.
Hey, wow, that's great Wayne. Thanks for telling me all your solutions AFTER I toil for hours on end for the perfect fuse caddy solution. Well, I'm glad I didn't ask for the Meaning of Life ... you woulda chimed in after I long kicked the bucket with an answer then, right?
