Hi guys

I bought my son a couple of lightsabers from a sabersmith in Ottawa (Ood Lightsabers) and I would like to wall mount them horizontally on the wall. Ideally I'd like to walk into a store and pick up something that I could install quickly. I've attached a rough sketch of what I would like but if you can think of something else that would serve this purpose, by all means, let me hear your suggestions!

Cheers

Alex

I THINK they have something like that at Home Depot/Lowes. I seem to recall seeing mounts akin to that there.

Good luck.

Those would be ideal, however, it's not a matter of simply walking in a store in Ottawa and picking one up. Maybe I should try Baron?

Very cool, but horizontal mounting is what I need

Make one (or two holders) out of wood or use 45 degree elbowed piping (steampunk-ish) and spray paint it silver or gold or something. Make it unique and cheap from Home Depot.

Why bother mounting them? You know he is going to be saber fighting all the time

You might try a knife/sword shop. There is one in Merivale Mall and they have swords hanging all over the place. They probably sell the necessary hardware.

Hmmm... steampunk... I like that idea! I'm sure everything could be found at Home Depot. AllI would need to find is a creative clerk to help me make this a 15 minute experience as opposed to a 1hr and 15 min one!

You should try a sporting goods place that sells guns and bows. My stepson has some racks for his bows that look exactly like what you need.

Maybe a 'little' overdone but I don't think it's ghey. In a gameroom, 1 or 2 light sabres could add neat lighting (like a neon sign) but I think a DE Star Wars pin would have to be a prerequisite.

I'd like to nab that double-bladed lightsaber for my life size Darth Maul statue.
