Yep, people are nuts to let these cars go. Had to think about it but i've had mine since 1977. Bought it when it was 6 years old and kept it since. Yep I was 14 at the time, saved every penny to get it too. The year before I bought a pinball machine. Hell I was an early starter. Wish I had gotten the car new but I was only 8 years old when it was built so that wasn't going to happen. I can't understand how people could drive them into the ground after keeping mine for this long and just simply maintaining it.
It's amazing what people abandon. Buddy and myself are looking at disposal on a bunch of old boats, you know wooders from the 60's. Just junk really EXCEPT they have 427 Fords and 454 Chevs buried in them.

I've had the pleasure of owning 3 RX7s. The last one I sold after the birth of my first son as it was impractical. The next one I bought after the birth of my 3rd son as a gift to ourselves on our 10th Anniversary.
I want one.. Seriously.... But I want to bring it back from the dead.. Anybody know where I can get a 60/70's muscle car in need of TLC?

Make sure that's what you want. Cars are a serious money pit....much more so than pinball. My RX7 is in great shape and I just dropped over $800 for a new exhaust system, $90 for steel break lines, $150 for a bushing kit, etc. It adds up real quick. And if you start with a true project, you can very, very, very quickly put in more money than the car is worth.
Personally I think it is better to buy a nice example and take it from there.
