I have Mame32 on my mame cab and it works fine...but I want to install a front end. I think mamewah would be the best frontend for a mame cab and I know that it doesn't work with mame32....so I have installed Mame (not mame32) on my PC and tried to make it work with Mamewah...After several hours of f****ing around with these, I still can't make it work.
If anyone can help me make it work (and understand how it works), that would be great...or a cool link. I can even take my PC to your place and I'll pay you to "teach" me the basics...if you're close enough...or by phone.
I hope you have better luck finding information than I did. I've been tyring to get my DOS MAME setup working for a week or two now with ArcadeOS and AdvanceMAME. Still not haivng too much luck getting newer versions of AdvanceMAME to work.
Currently Owning: Vids- Road Blasters, Road Runner, Joust, Golden Tee 2005 Pins- Back to the Future, Theatre of Magic, Joker Poker, Grand Tour, Hyperball

I also have MAME setup with MAMEWAH on my cab. Works great. I remember that getting the game list was somewhat complicated the first time.

I clicked on the link posted by CheffoJeffo, http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Mamewah , created a Games folder and installed mame and Mamewah in it. I did exactly what I saw on arcadecontrols.com (in mame ini, I modified the path for the roms and emulator c:\games\mame\roms and c:\Games\mame\mame.exe, saved the changes, opened mamewah and...nothing. Still doesn't work.
Did you do the mamewah.ini file with all the paths?

Once you start MAMEWAH, press "2", scroll down to GAME LIST OPTIONS, press "1", Scroll down to "GENERATE LIST", press "1".
It'll take a while so be patient.
