HI Guys I need a little advise, looking to buy a new pin. And I have narrowed it down to STTNG or Indiana jones. I have never played either one , I want to know which is a better playing game (more fun ? )

Life is like Pinball!! You never know where you will bounce or where your going but sometimes you have that one amazing shot But on the other hand you have those darn gutter ball where you just get frustrated.
I would say STTNG ( just because i have one for sale ) there is a ij for sale around your place JEFFO i have ij and really like it i bought the STTNG and a few weeks later found IJ so STTNG never made it in my basement du to space ( I have chosen IJ over STTNG even if people say STTNG is really great) you probably cant go wrong with either ones if you are a trek fan than it`s easier good luck
Games I am looking for Spiderman red TDK TSPP WCS Tales of the Arabians Nights MM POTC IM Scared Stiff
The rime of the ancient game:Hight hand,LAE,6MDM,Spiderman,Freddy, South park,Night rider,Elvis,Lethal weapon,EBD,Power play,Pinbot,Lotr, CFTBL,CV,Getaway,CBW,BK,JM,BTC,JD,VND,SPIDERMAN,TOM
sttng because of the price easily 1000 $ less expensive tan ij I would deffenitly add ij to my collection if I had space or cash with sttng you can' t go wrong and you keep more money in your pocket but you must be a good player to enjoy sttng because it' s a real hard game
Keep groovin' to 80's pinball machines! Complete MAACA-Wacko!

Duke,
I personally prefer STTNG (have one in storage, but if you come help me haul it out (problem is I really should haul out FT instead...), you're free to play it, or if there's a TOPL event at Nick's or another of the bigger collectors you could try them both there). I would say, if at all possible, try before you buy.
That being said, if either one of them is available and in your price range, AND you like the STTNG theme, then either one is sure not to disappoint. If STTNG is and "iffy" theme for you, then yes the price is right for a sophisticated machine, but maybe not quite so universal as IJ. And if it's IJ you want, move quick as the new movie release is sure to send the already high price high for a while until the buzz wears off.
IJ, still my favorite pin after all these years. STTNG is a great pin also. It all comes down to personal preference and as the guys have said: "You can't go wrong with either one".
My suggestion: BUY BOTH!!
It has been scientifically proven that light is faster than sound. That is why some people seem brilliant........until they open their mouth!
I am only a Star Trek Original Series fan but love both the Theme song to ST:TNG and the Pinball machine (pretty decent alright). Picard's voice, the asteroids & other DMD animation is ok. That initial metal loop that the ball goes through to get the the playfield is great.
But there is something about IJ that one just cannot say no to. Perhaps just that Hero that Indiana is, maybe that pivoting mini playfield, the turning idol head, or the amazing video modes that this machine has!
I think that you will find the opinions being mixed here for sure.
Good luck with either one (or both if budget allows)!
Vids: Crystal Castles, Gauntlet/Gauntlet II, Donkey Kong Jr., Ms. Pac-Man, Vs. Super Mario Bros. (other Vids in storage - for now) Pins:White Water [WH2O]
I would say IJ wins hands down. Much wider audience base if you are looking for a game that appeals to many people old and young. My 4 year old girl loves IJ - with the gun and the cracking of the whip. The game play is awesome for advanced players - SUUUUPER JACKPOT! And just as much fun for amatures - DONT TOUCH ANYTHING.
I find that people either really like Star Trek or they don't like it at all (like my wife). Everyone loves Indy.
The fact that IJ is higher priced tells you that it is probably more desirable and appeals to a broader audience.
All said and done including cost of machine, shipping and repairs I have spent over $5000 on my IJ and would not trade it for two STTNG. Buy the nicest IJ you can because once you have it you will want to keep it forever!
dont know if he played sttng...but know when he's around my shop he's always playin multiball in his pants...i keep telling him to keep it for his wife but he is dutch deep pockets..short arms...
Both machines are high maintenance and will eventually give you headaches if you know nothing about maintaining them. Sometimes sooner than later
Both sound amazing with a subwoofer kit.

Currently babysitting =============== Heavy Metal Meltdown SOLD - leaving soon
Previously owned ============= Hot Tip, Countdown, HS, WWF, TFTC, T2, RS, Pinbot, Laser War, LOTR, Flinstones, FH, DM, STTNG, Getaway, Silver Slugger, Laser Ball, Bad Cats, Batman Forever, Meteor, TZ, Galaxy, 6MDM, TSPP, MB.
Mike installed the sub kit in my IJ, and its WICKED....only problem is you can't play it at 2AM without others in the house knowing you're playing.....it really does make the game even more fun to play IMO when its nice and LOUD. I'll be looking for a sub kit in A'town for both my G and R and STTNG...
Both games are great. Tough Choice. I would choose STTNG because it is hard game (with those outlanes and open playfield). Balls don't tend to last too long and this should make for a more competitive match amoungst friends (The "house" has a smaller home-field advantage with STTNg than with IJ).
I love both themes but given a choice I would choose a STTNG (but only if you already have a TZ) You really should try playing first though (Note that it is really hard to make a decision based upon a few games however. Of course that is usually what you have to do unless you can find one at a location which gives you the opportunity to play many times over the course of a few days).
When it comes to price, I agree that it will increase with the new movie but I think it will eventually (long term) drop once Stern releases the new IJ pin.
Good luck with that choice. Eventually like many of us you will find that each game finds a place in your heart and you will end up wanting them all. So many pretty pins, so little money and space!!!
I am discovering that the key is: (infinite money, infinite space, infinitely understanding partner)!
