Hi,

I wonder if any of you guys out there can help me with an issue?  I was planning on bringing a machine in from Nevada; however, I'm looking for information and advice regarding the best shipping method and how to pay and protect my purchase.  Any information would be appreciated.  Thank you.

Don ' t know to much , but you have to trust the seller . Don ' t be shy to ask lots of questions about the pin , like detailed flaws and malfunctions , close up pix of appearent wear . I personally bought a centaur from Glens Falls , New york . The guy was honest and gave me all the details about what was wrong with it . I also picked it up myself since it was a reasonable distance  . I ' d find out about custom fees that can be , i think , expensive . In my case , since it was in a rough shape , he made me a $100.00 receipt " sold as is " The custom officers weren ' t to happy about it and pulled me over for a sheck ...

Forward air is probably going to be the cheapest way to get it into the country short of driving down there yourself to pick it up.  They only do terminal to terminal, so the seller will have to get the game to FA.  It also needs to be on a pallet, but I think FA will do this for the seller (probably for an additional fee).  Best thing to do though is have the seller crate the game so it's fully protected.  The other issue is the seller will have to pay FA for the shipment at the time of drop-off, so make sure you have a quote before hand.

Beyond that look into having a broker clear the shipment for you, or you'll be driving all over the place to get the customs paperwork sorted out.

Alternatively, you could have the seller ship it via FA to the closest terminal south of the boarder and you could pick it up from there.  Then you'd deal with customs when you cross back in to Canada.  Might work out cheaper, might not.
