I have a question... I have a star wars pinball machine that has been sitting idle for a few years now. Had a guy come in and repair it from starburst and then it broke down not 3 months later and the guy never bothered to come back.
What would something like this cost me to fix today? The LED 'video' part is no longer working... I'm not an electrician either so I don't know too much about this type of thing. It's this one here:
Own Magic, Star Gazer, Batman Forever, STTNG, Mystery Castle (project)
Gone Fairy, Secret Service, Meteor x3, Title Fight, Eight Ball Deluxe, Bone Busters Inc., Seawitch, Starship Troopers, Strange Science, Arena, Hook, Pin*Bot x2, Time Warp, Motordome, Robocop, Black hole, Jurassic Park , Wipe-Out, Pinball Pro: Challenger I, Swords of Fury, Stargate, Party Zone
Better take the cash before the guy comes down from his medication....
Pins: F14 Tomcat working Williams Black Knight working Premier Genesis pinball working Dataeast Simpsons working Dataeast Secret Service working HAUNTED HOUSE - project
Vids: PGA Tour Golf, Golden Tee Complete 2 slot machines
EDIT**** I thought this was for DE Star Trek - hence, 6 or 7 machine estimate. I'll go with Cooke's 5 machine estimate though.
Yeah... I'd say a really, really nice one is worth somewhere in the $2k range. They can certainly be had for less.
As for the issue with the game, the problem could be with the display itself, with the high voltage section of the power supply or with the dot matrix controller board. Or it could be as simple as a loose connection as McMean suggested. I'm sure someone in your area could come look at it.
As others have said, take the money!!! You would be a fool not to sell it. Even if you decided to get another and paid top dollar and shipping and taxes and...you would still be ahead by a few thousand.
hmmmm 1 post.. Outrageous statement about overinflated prices... I smell TGlover in this... Trying to make a point..
