You guys don't know of any 89 Atlantis's in the area, do you? IPMD says 1500 where made.

I am wondering how common they are in Canada.

I have one in really good shape. Good multiball. Progressive jackpot is cool. Fun to play.

There was one for sale a couple of weeks ago in the Ottawa area for $600. Seemed like a good deal.

I love Atlantis. They used to have one at the dorm where I went to College. Multiball plus the bumper save = fun times.

At my dorm they had Data East Star Wars. That's where I really learn to play pinball.

This game is definitely a sentinel er a sentimental favorite for me.  This game opened my eyes to electronic pinballs, since before I acquired this game it was EM's all the way.  I had no idea how pinballs evolved and soon realized how much I was missing.   After acquiring this game I couldn't believe all this game had to offer.  Kind of a fluke that I got this game as I was pursuing a Gottlieb Atlantis (EM) at the time.

Anyways not the deepest game but it has a lot of cool features that make it a fun play.  I personally love the playfield, cabinet and backglass art.  How could a guy not appreciate the three underwater "babes" (Atlantarians) riding dophins on the backglass,  underwater theme with sharks on the playfield/cabinet etc.  As for game play there are timed drop targets, regular standup targets, a popper, a center up post with associated habitrail (timed as well-don't see that in too many late 80's digital games), three bumpers with flashy caps, ramp shot for locking the balls into the submarine and a very cool jackpot shot because of its placement on the playfield (backglass animation with the jackpot building to a max. 4 million).  Another feature I really like in this game is the fact there is a kind of a dual lighting and when you get the three ball multiball the GI lights on the playfield change to red lights only for a neat effect.  While playing the music is relaxing and appealing, but when you get the multiball the lock breach-type music really gets the adrenaline pumping.  The flippers are 1/8" longer than standard, with yellow ones being better suited to the playfield art.

Had one in the past that I sold in an effort to upgrade but found another.... well because it is a really good game.  Although it is folded up, I can't wait to set it up and get it going.

Did I mention I really like the sound/music/speech in this game?

Depending on condition and such could be a great deal for someone.
