Well, I am going for the swap meet, not really to play. I will definitely go and pick up pin #4 and some parts, but then again it all depends on how my wife and the baby are doing... |

The nice games go early on Saturday. The overpriced games get more reasonable on Sunday afternoon. The complete projects (real crap) goes extremely cheap on Sunday afternoon. Mike |

hehe ..they are not giving them away at the end but yes, they are more negociable at the end of the show then at the beginning The best strategy is figure out which game you want and try to make arrangements with the seller BEFORE THE SHOW so that when you get there, the game doesn't even "make it" to the show but is exchanged from his truck to yours. More then 50% of the game sold there are like that. it's a meeting spot. |

My experience was that anything worth having sold on Friday night or early on Saturday morning. I recommend getting there as early as possible on Friday and buying whatever you want as soon as you can or else it won't be there the next time you turn around. I learned this lesson the hard way. I also learned that taking a pin to the show is waaaaay more hassle than it's worth.
Sunday was pretty much a complete waste of time and I was ready to head home shortly after waking up. We had to stay, however, because someone in our group had a machine inside that couldn't be removed, according to show regulations, until 2:00 (I think). We eventually packed it up around noon and left anyway. There was *nothing* going on inside or outside by mid-morning.
I'm not heading to Allentown this time around. Gonna check out Rochester and maybe Expo instead.

Indeed, unless you're really hard-up to get some cheap projects, there's not much to do on Sunday. In fact, I'll most likely be heading back home late Saturday afternoon and saving myself the cost of an extra hotel night.... Cheers, Steph |
