Okay, it's a K7000. You need to check the fuse at the front of the chassis and see if it's any good. If it's blown, you likely have a bad HOT or bad flyback transformer. You did plug it in with an isolation transformer, right?

So I finally had time to look at my monitor again. I checked the fuse at the front and its blown. When I was first looking at the monitor I didnt have an isolation transformer in. I think that may have been when it blew. I now do have an isolation transformer in which yields about 120 VAC.
I'm tempted to replace the fuse and turn it on but I figured I'd see if there is any other advice as to what steps I should take next.
If you plugged it in without the ISO transformer, you have blown at least one of the rectifier diodes, probably 2 of them. If you just throw another fuse in, you will just blow it again, and possibly do some trace damage if some hasn't already happened.

Yes, most electronics can be fixed, with the correct parts, expert knowledge, the right tools, time and $ (sometimes patience too!).
A few people on this board fix and recap monitors expertly.
A blown fuse on a monitor usually never blows without a reason. As Grauwulf indicated above, you probably have a shorted component now (diode or bridge in power supply, or horizontal output transistor) that took the fuse with it.
This job is not for newbies. In addition, there are lethal voltages in monitors, and even unplugged, a monitor can 'shock' surprizingly hard if one is not careful or knowledgeable and ends-up putting their fingers where they do not belong!

Is there anyone in the Ottawa area who would be able to help me out and look at the monitor? Thanks.
I might be able to help in a couple of weeks, if no one else contacts you in the mean time. Feel free to send me a PM.
Cheers, - Sylvain.
