Scribec picked up the Big Game this afternoon so it is now official, I have no pins left. The only thing I have left is my Wizard of Wor cocktail.

And of course, the first thing I do when I get online is check the Classifieds... good grief.

Anyone got a REALLY cheap pin?

Still don't get why you sold that one. You seemed to really like it when I picked up the SBM.

Good luck. Sometimes the hunt is as much fun as playing.

2885.32$ bill for a Mazda MPV engine. Simple as that. I still have 2200$ to pay within 2.25 months and then I start to pay 24% interest per year. Unfortunately, I don't have enough t-shirts to sell to make enough profit to pay that. That is why all but one of my games are gone, and is why I work on playfields every evening for 2+ hours.

I think it stinks not to have any pins in the house for the first time in over 7 years, but hopefully I will get another one day. But not just any pin. I have a top 10 list.

Ouch! Didn't realize it was that high. At the end of the night, sounded like you wanted to keep Big Game. Sucks.

Keep the faith. Hopefully the playfields will keep you busy. What you need to offer is a full restore with full breaking in period Then your house will be full of games.

You should "tweak" your skills towards auto-mechanics in addition to cab restoration...

That way you could actually keep the money you make on PF and cab work..

From what I know about sparky, taking an engine apart would be a piece of cake if it was not for the space and  all the tools required.

From 1992 until 2000 I was an auto mechanic, while studying industrial and heavy equipment mechanics and engineering in the evenings. Not to toot my own horn, but I have helped rebuilt a total of well over 30 cars and I specialized in clasics, exotics and rare cars. I have owned a few rare fun cars myself. A customer of mine rented out cars for films and had a warehouse with over 300 of them, and I dealt with most of his European cars... not to mention performing maintenance checks on his Countach at the time.   I got my cars from him. It's how I managed to rally-race for over 6 years as well.

But for the van, today, I still have all my tools so no problem there, but I have no space or shop to work in, nor do I have the necessary to lift an engine out. Extending my workshop is in the works when I renew the mortgage. Time is tight too. And I also lack the connections for parts now... been too long.

And yes, I can do brake jobs and such at home if someone needs me to, but it is getting cold outside to do so.

No choice on this card... Is OK. I should be able to pay it off before the deadline. Worse case, I cash in some RRSPs.

Don't worry about Sparky's feelings for Big Game. I promised him that when I get tired of the game, I would offer it to him first.

... scratch all my previous comments. I have a pin on the way. I worked out a deal for work on 4 pins (2 of them playfields, 2 others the cabs) for cash and a pin.

... I am a pin-whore...

Wow...  I didn't  remember "sex" as being on the first level of Maslow pyramid...

Food, water, breathing...,  yah, you need those to survive.

Sex ?  ...although not worth living without it,  you're not actually going to die from lack of it....

I think that pyramid was sponsored by Viagra....

Sex is not required for your survival, but eventually you'll risk everything to get it. You shouldn't be surprised by the extremes that people will go through for sex. I'm not just talking risking STDs, I'm talking blind dates. Yikes!

In seriousness though, like most systems that try to simply describe human nature, Maslow's Hierachy of Needs is oversimplified. People will value different thinks more/less than others.
