i wonder how many people are PMing him to ask where to get the MM if he passes on it!

i know that i was tempted - but i was sure there was already a lineup.

There hasn't been one, but after the input there's no way I will pass it up. Playfield is excellent small touch up at Merlin hole, but other then that perfect, NO insert or flipper wear.
Alot of posts said if the deal was reasonable to take it. Will need a cleaning and the cab needs a little love but 6300 including delivery to my house (1100 Km round trip) seems like a pretty decent deal to me. I'm still quite a noob though, what do others think?

That's essentially book rate less the transport. I personally wouldn't buy something that expensive without test driving it and taking it to a mechanic first, but if you are willing to buy it, then sure enough there will eventually be someone else willing to pay that price as well if you keep it in good condition.  No one can decide for sure but you.

MM is a big purchase for anyone,
but even more so for someone who might not have an experienced eye
for potential problems or issues.

I remember when I first started, looking at a TZ for sale.
The pics looked good (...to me...), but when I showed them
to a TZ "expert" he pointed out many faults that I did not
even noticed on the pictures.

--

For that kind of money, I would also be inclined to view it in person
before committing to buy.

For me, there is usually a "price-to-pickiness" factor.

For $6000, I would be "picky", wanting to inspect it first.
( ...and honestly, for $6000+, I'd expect no wear on the PF.  )

For $3000, I would be in the car, money in hand,
ready to buy it pretty much no matter what the issues it might have...
(...assuming the picture looked half-decent.. )

$6300 for a shipped MM, is not a "bad" price,
but I don't think it's a screaming deal either.

I think the seller knows exactly what he has
and priced it accordingly.

And as a final point, for that price,
you might not have an easy time re-selling it yourself
if you decide to unload it later on...

..but that's just me..

Good Luck,
Steph

Be careful if you don't know what to look for. Get high res pics if you don't have them already, and post them here.

6300 is a nice chunk of money for just about anyone - do your homework!! And good luck - I hope you end up with a nice one.

Cheers,
Mani
