you think with such a high demand that they would have made alot more playfields

Exactly !  And where did all the Fathom machines come from all of a sudden ?  You don't see or hear about a machine until they eek out a few repros and then the pin owners start coming out of the woodwork and start scrambling for a playfield as if they are on a doomed plane with 10 people but there are only 9 parachutes.  I think CPR enjoys toying with us.

Fathom playfield received, i'm speechless, it is amazing. The original hardwood really make a nice difference too.

Never hear about fonts problem ? Look like the fonts are the same as the original playfield but did not inspect that aspect in details.

Just a question but are these tiny insert cracks supposed to be there on this type of insert? Can't help but see they are virtually on every insert.

Sorry HAL.  I was just teasing you on the recreation of the backbox cards for your other restoration.   It was just in fun.  With your playfield, as they are tracing/vectorizing - the font reproduction would be perfect!   CPR does amazing work.

Oh   yes i didn't make the association !! By the way i'm still working on these backbox cards but they all have different fonts and it's very time consuming ( I want them perfect ). 3 cards almost done but after i will have the possibility to make card for every Bally from this era.

My 2 CPR playfield have those tiny cracks in transparent inserts. All my original Bally playfields ( 2 Xenon, Centaur, Fathom, Embryon ) have those tiny cracks. On this picture they look lot more apparent then on normal lighthing condition. The sun lightning hit the insert with an angle that make the cracks lot more visible. I assume this situation is normal for transparent inserts because of the material use to make them.
