I am probably attending the Starburst Auction next month. What should I look for when viewing? Any advice on bidding and buying? Thx for your comments.
Current Lineup: Black Knight, Riverboat Gambler, Ripley's Believe it or Not, Flintstones, Orbitor 1, Wipe Out, Breakshot, The Simpsons Pinball Party, Fish Tales, Eight Ball and a 60 in 1 Cocktail.

Fun time for socializing. Temper your expectations and you won't be disappointed. The best deals are to be had in the parking lot and are usually pre-arranged weeks/months in advance.
Most of the stuff for sale is owned by Starburst and they are getting rid of it usually for the reason that if they refurbished it themselves, repaired all the issues and tried to resell it in their used room, not enough profit margin. Similar to a car dealer, they cherry pick the good used cars for their lot and send the rest to the auction. They get rid of stuff and they do not have to warranty or repair it.
Anything nice usually goes for good money and you have to pay tax. For pinballs, the selection has gotten very poor, lots of vids usually.
It has been scientifically proven that light is faster than sound. That is why some people seem brilliant........until they open their mouth!
bring a powercord, a flashlight and water. powercord due to not always a outlet where you need on. flashlight to see in the darken spots in a machines. water for standing around for over a hour waiting to bid on stuff you want or didn't know you wanted.
Yeah the prices aren't horrible, there was a nice Spares & Strikes there last time that wnet for just over $200 and a SWEp1 for just over 1800, I believe.
Although, with another auction only a month after the next, I'd be willing to bet they're saving a lot of good stuff for the Oct auction (pin tournament, lots of advertising)
Own Magic, Star Gazer, Batman Forever, STTNG, Mystery Castle (project)
Gone Fairy, Secret Service, Meteor x3, Title Fight, Eight Ball Deluxe, Bone Busters Inc., Seawitch, Starship Troopers, Strange Science, Arena, Hook, Pin*Bot x2, Time Warp, Motordome, Robocop, Black hole, Jurassic Park , Wipe-Out, Pinball Pro: Challenger I, Swords of Fury, Stargate, Party Zone

you know they are. don't blame them either. but enough going on's in the parking lot that you might not need to go into the auction. can't remeber the last thing i bought from the auction. now in the parking lot, thats a different story. can't wait for the next parking lot meeting.
I know for the next one im gonna try and meet everyone on the forums... last time that worked well with what everyone was looking for so there wasnt many bidding wars.
