One of my friend discovered after he purchased his first Guns & Roses, that the topper was NOS inside the machine on the back of the cab.
It was there since the purchase of the machine...never installed!!

Can you believe it was brand new, nothing broke...! That's almost impossible, this pinball was going from place to place in location!!!

Eric

Well my spin on it all is this, we are grown adults and hopefully somewhat mature...fun is fun but some guys really need to get a life if there are PM'g all the time over stupid a** mess.

I have never read anything on here that I would deem that offensive.  Maaca and cgcc are the only boards I read or post to regularly. I mean it takes a lot to offend or piss me off, even then I am adult about it.

There have been a few times that the word "Retard" as been used. I personally don't like that word. I have a daughter with Down Syndrome so yes I find it offensive...not worthy of blowing a nut over or quitting a forum. Most times I just ignore it, sometimes I voice my disdain for the word, why just the other day a member was over playing some pin at my house and he called my pin retarded, he instantly apologized and I know he was sorry. I understand it's only a word; many people use it for different things......and life certainly goes on.

I know I am far from a perfect angel but I usually try and say whats on my mind, and I am not a "keyboard tough guy" I f I say it I mean it.

Which funny enough brings me back to you Eric ... ahh nevermind  no use even starting a "battle of wits" with an unarmed man

Not sure what the point of this was.... So peeps grow up and grab a set get on with pin and life; which brings up another point....there IS more to life than just pin

*MEDVET Doesn't need to grab a set

Gotta laugh, I ran my first comic book BBS and later a Dial Your Match BBS outta my bedroom in the very early 1980's, I do remember an Emtrol Lynx modem and TRS-80 and some other platforms!  And long before that I wrote a mainframe dating program that did the matching for our Highschool graduation... on punch cards, before monitors became mainstream (who else printed out Mona Lisa in ASCII Art on a DECwriter?).

We each draw our own line. For ALJO the line was making fun of his use of oil/lube in his machines. He decided to leave, that was his choice.

Since he replied with and having had a look at another thread where a member apologized for to him, I think Sparky's post had nothing to do with him leaving.

I think a lot of people are assuming "thin skin" too much. We've no idea what was said and although I wouldn't quit a forum or anything over written text (well, maybe if the board is run by people who constantly abuse their power), I understand others think differently than I do. I just hope whatever happened, there's peace in the end for him and concerned parties.
