I was having a friendly debate with BattlezoneMan over this... what is the best zombie movie out there? You are welcome to name more than one!!!

BZM's suggestion: Dawn of the Dead 2004

Mine: Return of the Living Dead (BRAAAAAIIIIIINS!) Just so hokey and funny... I catch it any chance I get on TV

Romero's original Dawn of the Dead is my favorite. I've watched that movie repeatedly every year since I was kid. A real classic.
I'm not gonna argue the previous entries by Sparky & BZM either... great movies too.

Resident Evil was pretty good or how about 28 Days Later.

I think you could easily flip the thread and change the title to 'worst Zombie flick ever;...Night Of The Comet comes to mind.

I'm new here but I would like to add my 2 cents...

For the real deal scare factor I would have to vote for 28 Days Later given it's somewhat plausible (they weren't really dead afterall).

I also have to agree with Sparky as Shaun of the Dead is unique within the genre.

Gotta go with Dave on that one.
Dawn of the Dead is awesome. Mainly it's what I would do if there was a zombie attack tomorrow. Go live like a king inside a zombie free mall.

But Shawn of the Dead was really good too.

I always enjoyed Return of the Living dead. And had ROTLD II poster hanging on my wall for the longest time as a kid.


But I like what 28 day franchise has done with the whole zombie thing.

Also can't wait to see Resident Evil 3
