I'm not a graphic designer by any stretch, but I have some ability. What is it you're looking for? |

Well I was wondering if it is better to scan plastics to a .jpg or a .tif ?? alo wondering what the pors/cons are of each type of file? |

Hell I'm no graphic designer but tiff is basically no loss while jpg is a loss format so I from those two choices I would say tiff all the way |

Hell, I can answer that..
Yes, TIFF as it is loss-less. Use ZIP compression if you have to. And scan them @ 300dpi at least, and preferably in CMYK. |

Step outside to play some shinny and I'm beaten to the punch. If you're just interested in preserving the quality of the image, then use TIFF. The only downsize to TIFF is that the files are naturally larger, and browsers don't support them, but if you need them for that purpose you can always make a jpeg copy of it if after the fact. |
