I don't mean sharing among us. I mean that it was interesting that they have this club in Brasil and the games are all weirdo Taito knockoff's. I would assume a lot of the people there would not have 1/5th the living space that we do so the club idea is a matter of practicality.
I think the knockoffs are cool... makes it different. I read it was because of EXTREMELY lax copyright laws in Brazil. I would like to try a Taito pin one day, just to see if they are close to the originals.
..And I still dream of a MAACA headquarters. I would gladly bring all my games to such a place.

Neat collection and immaginative Toppers! One wonders if the Taito knock-offs were completely black market or authorized by licensing in some way from Williams?

I would be interested to see the PCB sets used in the Taito games. And was it really cost effective to make all of these knock-off's from the ground up? (That BH looks like just the BG was changed, the PF looks like a GTB original)

Nope... kept a few. Just sold 1 working game and some projects. I still have my Big Game, my Eight Ball, a few other project pins I am debating on if I fix or part out and a couple of vids. Enough to keep me entertained. Playboy is almost out of the house.
Besides, I have little time to work on them with the clearcoating sideline. I seem to be working on other people's machines more than mine. And when you look at it, selling off pins cheap is cheaper than paying alimony.

I have just been playing some Taito pins on pinmame... these guys were unbelievable! They ripped off anything they could to make it sell! The funniest was Snake Machine... They ripped off Stern Viper artwork, took a playfield layout of another pin I can'r regognize... and the theme music when you start a game is from...
THE MOVIE E.T.!!!!! MMMWWWAAAAHHHAAHHHAAHHHAAAA!!!
And for anyone that DON'T think sounds make a pin, please try Zarza... a rip-off of Xenon. Plays just the same (a few points are tallied differently), but the sound SUCKS! It sounds like a cheap vid from the 70s on certain targets!!! And the cheap music it plays once in a while... worth trying just for a laugh!
Oba Oba is also a Brazilian version of Playboy. Let's just say Hef has nothing to worry about!
