Wanna buy my Party Zone to go with it? Then all you need is Party Animals to complete the series. PZ is newer with DMD so probably worth more than Dr Dude.

Boston pinball and the typical Canadian evaluation, I'd say the average value Dr. Dude is $1100.00 depending on condition.

I live near that guy and would probably have gone to take a look.

pz is a 1000$ game ...

I wouldn't sell for $1000. and if space became an issue Id sooner just store it at that point.   A trade is a different story.  Actually Im really not looking to let it go quite yet anyway so the dollar value doesn't matter.

If it was cherry I would pay his asking if I were in the market. If it's a POS you paid too much if you went the $1500. I would say average here in Canada is probably $1250 Cdn IF you can find it. Not many come up from what I have witnessed. It's a fun game, pretty straight forward, unique translite, a couple of toys, musical (if you like 80's stuff). Preferred it's play over PZ when I had them both.

Not a bad Sys11 game at all, in fact one of the better ones IMHO. If you like it your ok but selling it quick for that could be tough.

You might get lucky and have WPC boards in it.

necro is right ..1250 would be about it and from the picture of the front of the cab, I would say right on. They are not easy to find and yeah, I would buy it off from you when you're done ... but not at 1500$

Let me be the first, and so far only one, to congradulate you on your Dr. Dude pinball purchase.  I've played that game a few times and found it to be very enjoyable.  Can't say about the long run but maybe you'll tell us.  As far as price - don't sweat it.  We can all say it's a $1000 machine or $1200 or $5000 or whatever but alot of times it comes down to you wanting a particular machine and not wanting to wait 6,8,10 months before one comes up for sale for 300-400 less.  The last few listed on Mr. Pinball were $1300-$1600 U.S. (not that yankee money is alot different anymore).  I hope you enjoy your machine and maybe in a year or so someone on Kijiji will still give you $1500 for it unlike us (yes, me included) cheap bastards who would offer you about $800 and want it delivered

The boston pinball price index wouldn't bear this out.   If one had to generalize, I would think saying they are of equal value would be safe to say.  The DMD of PZ is offset by the relative rareness of the Dr. Dude.

Thank you very much.....I too can be a cheap bastard..lol.. and so no I didnt pay $1500 for it..but I gave him what it was worth.  I am sure to enjoy it and it has been in home use since 1992 so the seller says as that is when he bought it from the operator. Should be pretty nice I would think. I am picking it up when I go to SB auction along with a few cheap vids I hope.

I had sold all of my machines a while back and now I have decided after a break to get a few I want...CV MB are still maybes but I am hopeful the deal will come thru... and DD..that was a cheap buy had to go there for SB auction anyway...and yes I did so sell me your MM and TOM and lets get this shopping spree over with ok ...

On a more serious note, immediately after reading about sorcerers purchase I clicked on the link to the ad which said "was $3600 new, so make me an offer". Anyway, I clicked on the ad again 20 mins later to see the sellers locaton on a map and he had changed the add to "asking $1500." That seemed weird and I smelled a bustout, so I emailed the seller asking if it was still available. He emailed back it was sold.

So, sorcerer you don't have an SOB who says deal and sells it out from under you to a local, unlike I have seen others do.
