Right now on CL there's someone (appears to be older fellow) selling off his 3 pinball machines.  He says BSD (or as he calls it, Bram Stalker's Dracula lol) isn't working.  He asked for offers.  Other 2 machines (T2 and Popeye) selling for 975.  I offered 500 for the BSD.

Is it completely worth it if I can pick up a non-working BSD for that, as long as playfield is in good shape, good condition overall on the game, etc?

I haven't yet had the chance to work on a machine that won't work at all (assuming it won't even turn on, but not much description).  So this would be interesting.

May all be gone, besides I don't have the money anyway.  I could muster 500ish, but that's it.  If I had 1000, I'd find a way to add another few hundred and go find myself a TFTC.  

There is allways debt, your not really addictated to this hobby until you go into hock from a pinball

When your looking at a $500 BSD, you should be eating lots of Kraft dinner and holding off on buying that door stain for awhile to make it happen.
