I just received this email today.

"Good afternoon,

I was given your contact information a couple of years ago by a guy name Marcel Landry and I’m thankful I was able to find it again.

I bought a 8 ball delux maybe about seven years ago and had to remove the glass from the playing field so that my son could enjoy watching his gerbil chasing the ball. Because of the result of our family cat jumping onto the playing field and injuring his paw on one of the targets. The vet bill was about $50. I was upset as I’m sure you understand I decided not to contact you. But last night our cat was injured yet one more of a time when her tail was pinced under one of the flipers and to make it worser  when she stuck her paw into the drop shoot it became stuck.  We had to call the vet to come to our house and it took a very much long time to pull out her paw which was to make more injuries. This time it was a cost of $500.

I would very much apreciate in the kindness of your heart that you would understand the problem and what this has put my family through it.

Please remit a cheque for $500 to me at the following information:

Duane Edmond Blith III

3011 Washington State Blvd.

Evansville IN 47715

I’m trusting that this is all of the information that you reqire."

Can you believe this crap?

Geoff

People like that should be forbidden from reproducing. Ask for a phone number if this is a scam it usually stops the emails.

This is a really good one.

Or the 5 others in the entire USA:

http://www.whitepages.com/sear.....33&query_type=40

I figured there would be more in the USA who didn't know how to spell their own last name....

p.s. Compared to the, literally, thousands of Blyth's in the USA

I doubt Mr. Blith is very gay/happy/cheerful right now, considering all the trouble he's been having with his cat

Assuming you actually sold that machine, just do what I do... reply:

"Greetings Mr.Blith,

As I probably sold you the game seven years ago, I sold it to you in working order and complete. By removing the safety glass (yes... that is what it is called and for good reason) you willfully decide to ignore manufacturer safety recommendations. And by putting two animals in such a dangerous setting, you sir are potentially guilty of cruelty to animals. A pinball steel ball can be sent up a playfield at a very impressive speed, thus possibly injuring your gerbil while playing. Also, as you mentioned, there are many pinch points everywhere on a playfield, which explains the presence of a safety glass, so in this case, you have willfully injured your cat.

Dear sir, I will not only refuse to pay you, but I have transmitted your coordinates to the River City Canine Rescue in Evansville (47710... look it up) and to the State Board of Animal Health in Indianapolis (805 Beachway Drive, Ste. 50, Indianapolis IN 46224-7785 to be exact, http://www.in.gov/boah/2343.htm ) in order to prosecute your sick animal-torturing self for animal cruelty. I am not only a pinball lover, and you have greatly offended me by treating such an expensive and rare collector's item in such a fashion, but I am also an animal lover, and what you have done sir, and I use that term loosely, is completely unacceptable."

Now take that, send it to him, and just for fun, forward it after to the BOAH, mentioning that it could be a scam, but to do that to animals is downright animal cruelty. They will listen... some people go apeshit for stories like this clown.

No... just been having a hard time lately and this is a fun distraction.

As for me being a lawyer... if you knew me personally, you would not say that. I have been categorized as being sometimes too honest. But my day job requires me to have a certain political side to me. So yeah... I am probably the last guy you want to debate with. I don't bullshit people... I nail them with cold hard facts. I do that every day.

It turns out my girlfriend is the joker behind this. She came clean and told me.  She has quite the sense of humor and imagination. The spelling errors were on purpose, so I wouldn't suspect her.  Very creative, well at least it was a good laugh and I am glad that it wasn't real for the sake of the animals.

Had I not found out my girlfriend was behind the original email, I would have sent these back.

Great letters Sparky!

This whole thing turned out to be really funny, though.
